I'm ill so, having had the day off, I decided to write code for a while and came up with a little feature that shows an excerpt of a random piece of fiction from the writing forums. It can only take attached documents (there's too much difficulty working out what should be used from inline posts - that's for another day) and it may have one or two small bugs, but it's there now.

I personally think this is awesome. All the good art on this forum is already getting showcased, now stories get it as well.
It functions well, though it seems to have trouble with apostrophes and similar symbols. I don't know whether that's just my computer, though.
