Yeah, there seems to be some debate over what he's actually called...I picked a source and stuck with it...
I'm sure this wasn't your intention, but your story actually made me like the Rich Texan.
Well, I kind of used it as an exercise to see if I could find a remotely sympathetic angle to a character that I find obnoxious. About the best I could do was for him to be screwing himself up as much as he wrecks every episode he appears in...
Personally I think yours was the better story Chris, but I'll happily take the glory!

I too was impressed by the detail in Kaspired's pic. I wish I could turn out drawings of that quality at such short notice!
There was a fantastic universal sense that whatever we were doing was right, that we were winning....
And that, I think, was the handle - that sense of inevitable victory over the forces of Old and Evil. Not in any mean or military sense; we didn't need that. Our energy would simply prevail. There was no point in fighting - on our side or theirs. We had all the momentum; we were riding the crest of a high and beautiful wave....
So now, less than five years later, you can go up on a steep hill in Las Vegas and look West, and with the right kind of eyes you can almost see the high-water mark - that place where the wave finally broke and rolled back.
