Fernie's fantastic jukebox

Post by SirMustapha » Sat Jan 25, 2003 11:06 pm

I tried to put the link into my own page, but it didn't work. Stupid Geocities. Anyway, these are the first two songs of my Wings Round Robin album project in MIDI format: the A-side Someday, is the opening track, and the B-Side, entitled Gloom In G# Major. The songs are short, and I have zipped them up into one file, so don't worry.

Hope you enjoy it. :)

EDIT: It is here again. The board lost the file after the crisis.

I'll download it tomorrow, Fernie. :)

Try reuploading Fernie - it's an invalid archive.

It was so much easier to blame it on Them. It was bleakly depressing to think that They were Us. If it was Them, then nothing was anyone’s fault. If it was Us, what did that make Me? After all, I’m one of Us. I must be. I’ve certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We’re always one of Us. It’s Them that do bad things. - Jingo, Terry Pratchett

Oops, my bad. This file's okay, now. It was a little mistake when handling WinAce, but I've checked it now and it's 100% zip. :)

I really like those.  I liked Someday better than the first one.  It's the harmonies actually that I enjoyed more than the melodies.  Very relaxing, nice job.

Listening now....

Cool stuff, Fernie! :)  I really like 'Someday', and 'Gloom' is nice.

Really nice, Fernie. :) (Although, at the end, Gloom seems to repeat the theme a bit too long...it's still great though)

What synthesizer do you use?

I use a rather generic MIDI synth (far better than the crappy Windows MIDI Mapper, though). It no Soundblaster LIVE, but it works fine. :)

Um...Is it better than NoteWorthy Composer (If you've heard of that)?

I think so. Actually, the composing program you're using doesn't matter, I think, what matters is the soundcard.

Why was this moved to round robin when it's not a story?

I moved it because the music is about the round robin.

MUZAK!

Post by SirMustapha » Sun Apr 13, 2003 7:30 pm

Yes, you read it right. I've finished more music for the project. Three songs, this time, and they form a sequence! Impressive! :)

"A Ride" is a three part song, with one of my zaniest moments of music ever. I actually had to write a Pascal program to randomize the rhythm on the final part. :P "Not A Good Day" is just a simple, short guitar ballad, and... "Just a feather", that's supposed to represent the nightmare sequence, is like a King Crimson jam that the guys played while drunk, and that Robert Fripp never had the courage to release. You were warned. ;D
