Re: Creativity Hour works thread

Genius. Hilarious idea, and the execution is very on-model. It's funny, you're actually making me warm to Stretch Dude and Clobber Girl Enter the Collector Desperately Xeeking Xena . I was never a fan of the actual segment (I think superheroes are a bit off mission for THoH, and the actual story fe...

Re: Creativity Hour works thread

Here we look in on one of our superpowered siblings' training sessions. Lisa, of course, has no trouble handling the weights. Maggie, basically being made of hard rubber, is able to manage. Bart...not so much.

That is amazing!

...If somewhat implicitly unhygenic.

REVIEW: [ZABF16] The Way of the Dog

It's Christmas in May, apparently! This was a pleasant surprise. Waiting 30 years to go this far into SLH's history was a little odd, but with results like these, I'm not complaining. This was a good slow-paced, emotional story. (Turns out you can have those about dogs without any death involved. I...

REVIEW: [ZABF14] The Hateful Eight-Year-Olds

Now this is The Simpsons being written like The Simpsons. This was quite good. Not only good, it felt properly Classic Era. Lisa as a human being! Bart and Lisa feuding, then teaming up in the spirit of revenge! Homer and Marge attempting a couples' night! Everyone was on-point, Addy ended up being...

REVIEW: [ZABF13] Warring Priests (Part Two)

That was indeed a second part. I still don't fully see why this needed to be a two-parter (and learning that Bode's VA wrote both parts makes me wonder what the hell was going on behind the scenes), but this was alright. Bode's still not much of a character (with some definite Gary Stu moments, now...

It's not easy having a younger sister who can take any impact without harm and knows it.

REVIEW: [ZABF12] Warring Priests (Part One)

Yes, Part One. This here's a dose of dos. Or half of one, at least. I'm not entirely sure this needed to be a two-parter, but we'll see how things play out next week. It's a fairly down-to-earth plot (and does sort of retread "In Marge We Trust," albeit with a more overtly religious focus), but it ...

Just imagined Homer catching her saying that and being like:
HOMER: "Hehe... Baby swearing..." *realizes what's wrong* "GAH!"
HOMER: All right, all right... Don't panic, Homer, you can still salvage this. Maggie, can you say "Daddy"?
MAGGIE: FUCK HOMER!
HOMER: BOY!!!

REVIEW: [YABF13] The Incredible Lightness of Being a Baby

I'll give you old-timers a moment for the flashbacks to fade. ;) Ah, the cornerstones of storytelling: infant romance and hillbilly helium. This was a double-dose of cute, though Maggie's plot was kinda short given it was the title plot. (I'd suggest "Playdate with Destiny" might've impacted this du...

Re: The Nidotamer art depository, now less boring!

Wily's attempting to improve on Gemini Man, I take it. (Seriously, the design does remind me of the Roboticized Masters from the first Sonic/Mega Man comic crossover, and that ain't a bad thing.)
