Re: I fell in love with the majesty of indie games

Ooh, not that much of a fan of clickers usually, but I will probably check that one out!

Re: OPINIONS: Wintering

Thank you for the heads-up. The new scene is good, with both Seymour and Edna in character. Especially Edna is just sizzling in every line she has, I don't know how you write her so well. The writing style feels quite simple in this chapter, but that's not a negative. It just lets the emotions come ...

I fell in love with the majesty of indie games

Feels like we need a new thread for recommending online/free games. Let's get this show on the road! The Last Train to Isles . A short, simple horror story that gets real creepy. Not necessarily new, but still good. Apologies if you've already seen it: Caesar's Day Off . Caesar's Day Off presents an...

Re: Chris can't draw part II: ENDGAME

Your suggestion is good! I cut corners a bit with the shading because I was feeling insecure.

And I'm flattered that you like it. You're the one who encouraged me to keep going with the colouring in the first place.

Re: Chris can't draw part II: ENDGAME

I got some positive comments on previous versions, so I decided to colorise my drawing of the Four Motorcyclists of the Apocalypse from Good Omens . I decided to go with a bit of a darker shade of red for War's hair to make it more distinct from her bike jacket, plus it just suits her better. Con-cr...

Yeah, I know *that* feeling. At least you're making good art of it.

Re: Creativity Hour works thread

Genius. Hilarious idea, and the execution is very on-model. It's funny, you're actually making me warm to Stretch Dude and Clobber Girl Enter the Collector Desperately Xeeking Xena. I was never a fan of the actual segment (I think superheroes are a bit off mission for THoH, and the actual story felt...

Re: Lump

I should have commented on the scrapyard picture earlier: I really like it, both in terms of motif, technique and colouring. It looks like something you'd see in a Simpsons episode, just with better colouring. Can't get over how much I love detailed landscape pictures like this. And your street chal...

Gah, forgot to post, but I like The Formicide Gang. Sounds like a cheesy children's adventure novel. :)

Re: Creativity Hour works thread

Thank you very much! I've had that image in the back of my head for a while; I'm happy I was able to do it justice. I like both your drawings. "Diálogo" has some very life-like poses, and the cat picture is sweet, with a good job on the cat-carrier. Looking forward to reading the stories. You got my...

Re: Creativity Hour works thread

The b/w version was already great, and the colouring makes it even better. Very clear and show-appropriate. The only nitpick I have is that Alex's hair looks very garish, being so bright; the rest of the picture is fairly dark, making me feel her hair should be in the shadow and a bit darker as well...

Re: Creativity Hour works thread

I realised I've drawn a lot of pictures of women getting assaulted or tormented by men, so in the interest of equality, I drew Simon Belmont getting uncomfortable advances from Medusa. The scent of poison in the air So still, but you see her moving hair. Infecting venom overwhelms The room begins to...

Re: Untitled work-in-progress novel: the bullshit thread

Up to page 12: Heh, Carlos and Rosa! Nice way of slipping in a little reference to your other story, without it feeling too obtrusive for those who aren't familiar with "Treasure Hunt". "Daniel walked in lazy steps, following Débora and Lígia, following the trail towards the walkway by the beach." F...
