Re: Random & Fun

'Twas a good game. Shifted a bit abruptly from dark comedy to just dark in the last third or so, though.

I may have to get the sequel. Hopefully it's good, but even if it's not, I want to see what the heck they're gonna do with it...

Re: More YouTube Insanity

Some a bit meatier content than usual: the short story (well, takes two hours to listen to) Automata, On Cue from Tale Foundry, a Youtube channel that discusses world-building and writing. Well, they also do some fiction to demonstrate their theories. A dark, masked man and a rescued fairground auto...

Re: Creativity Hour works thread

First chapter of "The Dagger-Bearers" finished! Wandering out into the forest while in trepidation over her future, Umeko has kicked over a cairn and found an alien dagger.

New section starts from "The item in its entirety was nearly weightless."

Content note: self-harm.

Re: A Very Venture Drabble Thread

Found this in my old notes and thought it was good enough to post. Rusty takes a last look at the man who has dominated his life. The Colossus The Jonas Venture statue has fallen. Whatever soot-flecked stone it’s carved from has smashed into big chunks, but the statue of kid me is almost intact, jus...

Another space marine? Must be a Sunday ending in Y.

Her tattoo says something like "bad motherfucker" in Latin High Gothic. Con-crit welcome, of course!

Re: Creativity Hour works thread

My interpretation of what will happen to Sirena of Venture Brothers . I feel an odd need to spoiler this pic, even though it's not canon, and I haven't even written a fic where it happens (though I *have* dropped a hint or two in my fics about Sirena and Hank). Any con-crit welcome. I'll probably be...

Re: The Formicide Gang [work in progress]: the bullshit thread

Comments on the rest of "The Ninth Day": The description of the journey through the installation is well-paced and very gripping: I read page after page of it, almost at the edge of my seat. It's possible that it feels a *little* like a video game scenario, what with all the weird traps, b...

A minor character from the Warhammer 40k Battle Sisters novel Hammer and Anvil. She's an officer who was described as having "a dark face covered in silver teardrop tattoos."

Con-crit always welcome.
