Re: REVIEW: [VABF02] Barthood

Man, I liked a great deal of this; the way they set up Bart and Lisa's conflict, the way they FIXED so much of the really terrible stuff in some of the previous future episodes (Look, no freaking underwater divorce for Homer and Marge!), the way they let Bart use his passion for BMX ext...

Re: REVIEW: [VABF02] Barthood

Mostly mixed-to-positive feelings here. Almost everything was actually pretty good (like that things are mostly left to the imagination at the end outside of Bart's job and Lisa&Nelson's relationship) and I'm so happy to notice contradictions with some of the crappier elemen...

Re: REVIEW: [VABF01] 'Paths of Glory

Mostly mixed views but definitely agree that Bart's plot was the better one. And it was actually quite neat how his plot was a direct result of Lisa's too. That said, wasn't very fond of Lisa's plot. Always found those overdone sexism scenes rather cringey especially when it's c...

Re: REVIEW [TABF22]: Halloween of Horror

https://simpsonswiki.com/wiki/Carolyn_Omine It's kinda strange she came out with something this good considering the other episodes her name is attached to in some way or another. Well, I though Dial N for Nerder was pretty good but otherwise nothing that really comes up to this level. Though at the...

Re: REVIEW: [TABF18] Treehouse of Horror XXVI

Well... I think last week was an impossible act to follow, let's be fair. So then. Intro I'm pretty sure I never saw any old Halloween cartoons so I probably wouldn't have gotten it anyway. Still, kinda liked the song and for any fans of Jess, she does make a cameo. Wanted: Dead, Then A...

Re: REVIEW: [TABF19] Puffless

Well it wasn't really like a PSA. If anything it seemed more an excuse to have Patty move in... okay to be fair, I think most of the people that liked it would have liked it for the Maggie bits. That said, they wasted a possible joke opportunity/callback by not having Patty's voice go back to 'norma...

Re: REVIEW [TABF22]: Halloween of Horror

I'm wondering, is this still one of the holdovers? They usually have those at the start of the season but this was so utterly different. Most of the things Missy mentioned are pretty much how I feel so I'll just add what hadn't been covered. - As said, I like that they actually took it serio...

Re: REVIEW: [TABF19] Puffless

Yeah, outside of status quo, there wasn't anything particularly wrong with this ep. I suppose it was inevitable that they'd go back to normal so quickly when you've got the Maggie subplot in there that probably was a higher priority. Actually the main plot I was still nice and grounded,...

Re: REVIEW: [TABF17] Cue Detective

Well... it was alright I guess. Have a bit of a hard time getting invested in Homer plots nowadays. Not that it never had a good moment mind you.Did like that the guy set up to be the obvious villain wasn't actually the obvious villain and it was nice to see Bart and Lisa actually teaming up &#...

Re: REVIEW: [TABF14] Every Man's Dream

That's a shame but fair enough (heck, I'd have done a review on one particular episode I really, really hated but... I don't wanna watch it again)

That said, out of curiosity, did any of it have to do with

Spoiler

Re: Show Finally gives in to the Obvious, Smithers to Come O

It does at least sound like a simpler plot idea which, really, is for the better. A lot of modern episodes (particularly those like Bull-E) have a problem with being too complicated so what should have been the main focus (between Homer and how he's basically bullied Flanders) was rather short as a ...

Re: REVIEW: [TABF14] Every Man's Dream

Well I don't know about anyone else but I wouldn't mind if you just went on an allcaps rampage. I mean, ahaha, I would have no right to judge you for wanting to rant. I have episodes and such in the series I seriously hate and would probably yell about forever if prompted so yeah. Go nuts, ...

Re: Show Finally gives in to the Obvious, Smithers to Come O

So they're doing two episode arcs now? As neat as the whole idea kinda sounds, I've seen stuff that suggests that 'male shop owner' is Julio. You know, the painfully stereotypical flamboyant gay guy? I do hope it turns out to be someone else though. Also it's kinda depressing that the photos of VAs+...

Re: REVIEW: [TABF14] Every Man's Dream

Yeah. Can say it's a pretty weak start. Then again, for a marriage crisis plot with a guest character voiced by Lena Dunham (probably didn't spell it right, really don't care enough to check), it could have been so much worse . Did at least get to see a cameo from the old-style ...

Simpsons Concept Art!

So I was just browsing around for things yesterday when I found someone on ebay was selling production drawings of several cartoons and noticed they had some Simpsons stuff too. There were a few more then what I'm sharing but only included these since, well, the characters here aren't in the Simpson...
