Re: Mass Effect Digression

Chapter 20 cont'd Finding The Migrant Fleet again wasn't too much of an issue for Yalo, the vast array of ships having recently been noted as being close to The Phoenix Massing cluster. Yalo would only have to take a few mass relays to jump into the system and then it was just a matter of flying th...

Re: Mass Effect Digression

Chapter 20 The hours of Friday afternoon aboard Karina dragged on, a good portion of them involving Yalo and Lylanya avoiding each other; both with their own thoughts the only thing occupying them. Yalo stayed in the cargo hold, while Lylanya hadn't left the cockpit. Both knew of course that she wa...

The penultimate chapter... Chapter 19 Dedicated to the memory of Annette White (1942 - 2010) [/size] The restaurant where Yalo and Lylanya were to meet Mr. Levine was not the first place the two aliens visited when the Friday sun rose on Washington D.C.. As promised a few days earlier, Lylanya was g...

Re: Mass Effect Digression

Chapter 18 Yalo opened his eyes to be greeted only by darkness boxed within cold walls and a cold floor and ceiling. Despite the icy appearance of his surroundings though, Yalo instead felt hot. Very hot. He could feel himself wrapped within his own suit, and for the first time he felt trapped and ...

Re: STORY: "Contamination"

Wow... impressive. Only found one error I think: "but she saw a puls of faint pink light" is supposed to be "pulse" instead of "puls" I believe. Beyond that, this was a great story. Depressing as you said, and rather dark, but constantly laced with an almost bittersweet...

Re: Futurama Vol. 5 Coming December 21

It does look kind of cool, but also doesn't really fit in with the existing season sets particularly well. I might actually hold off on this one for a year and see if they end up releasing a proper and complete Season 6 after both halves have aired.

Re: Mass Effect Digression

Chapter 17 Yalo had already made two steps before the muzzle of Intarr's assault rifle flashed for the first time, sending the initial grains of super-accelerated metal in the quarian's direction. But that didn't change the fact that there was nothing between him and the krogan but clear, unobstruc...

Good spot, I completely forgot about Russian naming conventions until you mentioned it. I'll change Gregory's last name when I make the rest of the edits. Thanks again. :)

Re: Mass Effect Digression

Chapter 16 [/b] As Yalo walked up to the main door of Karina , a meaty, three-fingered hand stretched down towards him. Yalo grabbed hold of Intarr's paw with one of his own, letting the krogan help hoist him up into the spacecraft. "Thanks," Yalo said. "Lylanya may be a while, she's...

Yeah, I was too far down south to even feel the quake, so I'm fine too. :)

Re: REVIEW: The Prisoner of Benda

I've been a while replying to this because I can't really decide on this one. While largely brilliant in its execution, there were just quite a few bits here and there where the humour seemed a little forced and weak to me. I dunno... it's hard for me to grade this because I definitely did like a gr...

Re: Mass Effect Digression

Thanks again for the feedback, Chris. Much appreciated. ;D Chapter 15 Like the previous interplanetary transits, the trip from Noveria to Earth was one filled with questions being thrown at Yalo from his three companions. The four of them sat in Karina's cockpit, waiting as the ship transported them...

Re: REVIEW: A Clockwork Origin

(The emergence of the nanobots from the pond reminded me very much of the Replicators from Stargate SG-1 and I was a expecting some kind of parody to ensue, until I remembered that Stargate is one of the things Futurama never references, along with Dr Who) I was actually half expecting to see a rep...

Re: REVIEW: A Clockwork Origin

Yeah, I agree that this was good, yet not the strongest. The Zoidberg/Cubert subplot did fall flat, and there were a few clunkers throughout. Beyond that the overall plot was neat, and there were some hilarious moments scattered throughout. I am always a sucker for science vs. religion style jokes (...

Re: Mass Effect Digression

Just wanted to say "thanks" for finding all those typos, mistakes and errors, Chris. Some are embarrassingly bad, but it's good that you spotted them when I didn't. A lot of them I also recognise as being leftovers from sentences that I altered later... only to accidentally leave in some e...
