Re: Creativity Hour works thread

Today I worked on another bit of my ongoing composition, but I worked on it several times along the week, so I'll gonna show everything I have so far. What I have here is a demo, or a sketch, of a major part of the album: The Arrival . Notice that the bulk of this work was made a few years ago, the ...

I absolutely hadn't realised what day it was yesterday until way too late.

Re: More YouTube Insanity

That's a super relevant recommendation, Chris! Lots of friends recommended that film, and I didn't watch it just due to sheer laziness. ... in fact, there were several films last year I didn't watch for the same reason, like Parasite and the Brazilian Bacurau.

SPONKS

I really like the lighting effect on that last one, and the blankness on her face. Nicely executed!

Re: Creativity Hour works thread

I love the Bateman sprite and want to see it finished, Chris. A great start, for sure.
Those drawings are top notch, May, very stylish and diverse, and the way you combined them makes for a really pleasant pic to look at. It's a lot more than just a bunch of loose drawings.

Re: Creativity Hour works thread

So, on the next two weekends, I won't be around to join our usual chat activities. I'll still be around the forum and able to play the RPG, but I can't guarantee I'll be creating. I'll try, though!

(...) and I write I want at least a minimum amount of recognition and/or money for it. If I were the last person on Earth, I'd go off and find some morphine instead. :D That's a brilliant way of putting it! ;D I guess one of the issues here is that both ends of this spectrum often get glorified. I'...

The need for approval and its pitfalls... and benefits?

I, as a person, have a dire need for approval. It affects a lot of areas of my life, and has affected me for a long time before I managed to realise it; and, as you can guess, it kinda sucks. Because I keep doubting myself and being afraid of not being good enough in the eyes of others (worsened by ...

I just never know what to say whenever I see your pictures. They're just so high quality and beautiful. Suffice to say, I've been enjoying them quite a lot, even not knowing the source material.

Re: Creativity Hour works thread

I'm really humbled by your review, Chris. You highlighted some of the points that for me were crucial to the story, especially of giving both characters dignity. For me, the whole story hinged on that. The ending is one of the only things that were fixed right from the start, and every time I ponder...

Re: Creativity Hour works thread

So what I did today was translate a short story I wrote earlier this week, and which got published on a local newspaper. It's called Father's Pride.

Re: Creativity Hour works thread

Lest I forget, I won't be available this weekend to chat, as well as the associated activities (rewatch, creativity, etc.), as I'll be travelling with my family. I'll try to get some creative work done there to show later, but can't make promises. I'll make sure to hop over here to check what you gu...
