Re: Chris can't draw part II: ENDGAME

This is really good, Chris! I enjoy the choice of colours, and the bits of shading are simple, but add a lot of richness to it. I remember looking forwards to seeing the colouring, and it paid off. I really like it! I don't really have concrit per se. I guess maybe you could try to add more bits of ...

Re: Creativity Hour works thread

The Simon and Medusa pic is really well executed, and a very cool and chilling idea too. The details, expressions and anatomy look very convincing. Your improvement is very visible, Chris, and I applaud your dedication not only to your self-improvement, but in putting the most effort in executing yo...

Re: Untitled work-in-progress novel: the bullshit thread

So, as I told before, I was unsure about the story's title. Deep inside, I wanted a title that somehow represented the story as a whole, not just one person or one story aspect, and I wanted something humorous but not in a "ha-ha, how clever" way. Also, I have this feeling that the best ideas are th...

Re: Untitled work-in-progress novel: the bullshit thread

I should probably start reading my translation before I post it here. :P I mean, I'm pretty sure I could spot more than half of the mistakes myself... except for the prepositions, of course. Can we please fix English so that "in/on/at" are all interchangeable? I never asked much! Other than that, I'...

Re: Creativity Hour works thread

I can only stress the things I've said in chat about your creations. I applaud Chris for trying something very tricky with that perspective and pose, and considering the difficulty of the pic, I think there are just a few anatomy issues to be worked in there. Also a really neat, fun concept for a pi...

Re: Creativity Hour works thread

As posted in chat, here's the new part of the instrumental suite that I've been working on lately. It's called Second Day , and like the previous part, it's a suite of interconnected pieces, and many parts are intentionally similar to previous parts, since it's conceptual and all. Here are timestamp...

Re: Untitled work-in-progress novel: the bullshit thread

Thank you again for the comments and corrections. I fully agree with you about the numbers, and I have been replacing them with their written out alternatives. The siblings' ages were a lapse on my part, and they'll be fixed. Regarding the wealth of characters, I do want to see how this will go alon...

Re: More YouTube Insanity

I'm not joking when I say this is one of the funniest things I've seen in months.

(this is especially delicious for me because, generally, I can't stand that style of music and that kind of singing; that horse fully represents me.)

Re: More YouTube Insanity

I've seen this video several times before, but I don't think I ever linked it here: I would really like to watch a YouTube channel about technology in which Björk explains how things work.

... I could watch that alllllll fucking day long...

Re: Untitled work-in-progress novel: the bullshit thread

The second chapter is now available on the updated attachment. I only did this so quickly because the Portuguese version is already written up to the sixth chapter. Still, doing this translation, a lot of dialogue has been added to the story, helping flesh out the characters and their relationships,...

Re: Untitled work-in-progress novel: the bullshit thread

Thank you for the comments, Chris! I'm always appreciative of your efforts to contribute to my improving. For me, I felt it was important to showcase the narrator/protagonist in a tangible way, so I'm glad I had that idea for an opening scene instead of the original "hey, here's a brief description ...

Untitled work-in-progress novel: the bullshit thread

I decided to create this thread not to ask for you folks to read and give opinions (though, of course, you're welcome to do that), but because, honestly, this novel has been driving me crazy . I have made more than one attempt to "finish" it, but I was never confident on it, and every time I went ba...

Re: Chris's Game Showcase

I just finished the game, Chris, and yeah, I think it deserved that 1st spot! (... though I haven't seen the competitors to make a fair comparison, but really, you deserved that shared win, so congrats!) I got stumped in a few more places, but I think I could've solved them myself if I had tried lon...
