Re: The Formicide Gang [work in progress]: the bullshit thread

So I got around to making the changes in day five I talked about, and just uploaded the new version. Also, as a bonus, there's a dangling bit of day 6 (no, not that Day6 ) that I decided to leave in. I'll put a brief explanation of the change in spoiler tags. So I decided to remove the sexual tensio...

Re: The Formicide Gang [work in progress]: the bullshit thread

I'd just like to note that I'm probably going to change a small plot point that happens at the very end of Day 5, so, if you happen to get there before I change it, I ask you to ignore it. I can't make any promises of when I'll upload the changed version, though.

Re: The Formicide Gang [work in progress]: the bullshit thread

Thanks once again, Chris! I feel right now you're reading faster than I'm working on this novel. ;D It's pretty annoying when stories kinda fall into those cliches when the narrative is (at least in my opinion) self-justified. I feel like it's the fault of other writers for being so shallow in their...

Oh, nice, it's today! I thought I had missed it, because I had no wi-fi when you put it up. I'll keep an ear on it!

I second Steve. I enjoyed the story, and the drawing is quite well done, Chris! Nice piece of work.

Re: The Formicide Gang [work in progress]: the bullshit thread

I'm glad that day 3 worked out, since it's such a pivotal moment in the story, and hinges mostly on the characterisation of the two girls. I'm very much convinced that Rita and Carol are really the central characters of the story, and this scene is especially important. I confess, with embarrassment...

Re: Creativity Hour works thread

So here's a completed version of Pequena Valsa Nº 2, complete with string arrangement. Granted, it took me more than one hour to do this.

Re: Sonic Forces Retrospective

It's fascinating when something strikes us in a way that we know we should feel one way, but feel something entirely different, even the opposite. It can be hard to wrap our head around it, and that's the kind of situation that leads us to write 30-page retrospectives on a silly Sonic game, I believ...

Re: Creativity Hour works thread

Glad to see you're still drawing, Chris! I think the jump pic is pretty impressive and she looks real nice. Only criticism is that I don't get a feel that she's actually moving, but please, don't ask me how to give a sense of motion to drawings 'cause I have no idea . It sounds tricky as all hell. T...

Re: It's always a pain in the arse, upgrading things.

I must say, I found it exquisite that PHP stopped running upon facing a warning. I'm from the time when PHP would look at a warning and go "oh, hey, dev? You seem to have fucked up real bad on your code. Ah, never mind, I'll just keep running like nothing happened! You're welcome!" And tha...

Re: Creativity Hour works thread

I would never think you were implying that an actual slice-of-life story has less artistic merit; what I imagined later is that straight out asking "is that story autobiographical?" could be pretty invasive, and also because that beach has been the setting to so many stories of mine, I rea...

Re: Creativity Hour works thread

So I better share my latest piece of writing here as well. I didn't give much context for it in chat, but this story is an actual real life memoir--not of one specific road trip, but there have been a couple that played out very much like that, so it still counts. This writing comes right in the mid...
