What I have always liked about the Simpsons is that it worked on many different levels. I'm guessing I would have been about 11 or 12 when I first watched the show. Now as a kid, I suppose I liked it for the more simple, rebellious humour; now I appreciate different aspects of the show. The importan...

Re:My Geeky Day

Yep, the "dd" is a sort of a cross between a soft "d" and the "th" sound in "the". I only ever learnt a few words of Welsh but I did pick up a few hints on pronunciation. And bloody odd it is too......

Re:Where's Everyone in IRC?

Where abouts in Wales? I spent a year working in Pembrokeshire a while back. It's a nice part of the world.

Well it's almost unbelievable but I'm no longer shocked by the activities of F*x (and indeed it's whole sorry parent "empire"). The real tragedy is that the talent is out there.....and if they gave it free reign they would probably end up with decent results. However, you just know that they will ta...

Re:The machines want a raise

I might end up going to see it for the sake of completeness, but I have to say I wasn't keen on the second one, compared to the original, so I'm pretty sceptical about the third. Like so many sequels, Terminator II sacrificed a lot of the darkness and tension of the original for OTT special effects ...

Re:Sailing on the pirate ship

I have to disagree about the quality of live albums (although I'm speaking strictly from a rock rather than a classical perspective). Although, technically speaking, the quality of the recording will not be up to studio standards, the songs often have a power and energy that does not come across in ...

Re:Futurama article

Surely there is a future for Futurama outside F*x? That's assuming there are no legal clauses preventing Matt Groening from touting the show to other networks. If channel 4 in the UK had any sense, they'd put some money up. It's a fair point that Futurama has faded before it had the chance to declin...

Woodland Scene

A second rare pencil sketch :D This time it's just a pensive looking Lisa sitting under a tree with her saxophone. I have no idea what she's doing there.....I just felt like drawing some trees.....
It might even work this time...

Future for Wings?

I should probably be posting this in the round robins there a future for the Wings round robin? It seems to have died a death....and I was really enjoying reading it. :(

Can't beat a bit og angst. The world needs angst to a certain degree.......
I like the picture (though you're right about the perspective), it's a nicely constructed scene, leaving plenty to the imagination. Nice touch with the tyre tracks!

LF Songs

A big thankyou to Graham for putting the first two songs in my LF cycle on to the music section. "Loss" has appeared before on my own site but this version has been completely re-recorded, taking into account a couple of suggestions from folks on here....thanks guys! The second song, "Last Sunrise" ...
