Re: Sanctuary

Zee picture, she is good, no? :D Lots of details, great shading, the atmosphere... Very nicely done. A bit too much angst for my taste, though. Concrit: already told you about the suspicious red drink, and the floating note. That's it ^.^ Grr, the mystery of Lisa's (and Maggie's) hair spikes keeps m...

Re: NES GAMES

I've invested a good portion of my teen years into "Battletoads". One sunny August morning, I finally beat the game... 'Twas the happiest day of my life.

Oh, and I still get a kick out of "Dr. Mario"!

Re: ..But....paper wraps rock!

They left the MIDDLE FINGER off the chart?! Blasphemy! It can tear paper, squeeze the sponge, choke the snake, split a stream of water, act as a lightning rod, be stuck into a gun, even leave oily fingerprints on the devil... Don't get me started! As the Zarathustra of hand gestures, the middle fing...

Re: Turn to despair...

Great resources, guys; here's some more guidelines: - the tip of the thumb should align with the the first joint of the index finger. - the two "halves" of the thumb should be roughly the same length. - when you spread your fingers, the finger tips should lie on a nice smooth semi-circle (...

Re: Lisa's true love.

"True love" doesn't necessarily mean she'll get married. Chances are, her relationship with her boyfriend (or girlfriend... yikes!) will be a long-distance one. Or, she may simply choose not to get married. Or, she will marry someone, but they'll keep it a secret! Speaking of which - does ...

Re: Kiri-kiri-kiri...

Well, I would choose it over the real DVD at the video store. Rich colours, atmosphere, and, of course, teh glove. The only thing that bugs me is her missing (?) eyelash. Other than that, it looks great, DB!

I see you've gone through alot of drinking improvement lately

Ah! I see America has finally learned something from India. In some Indian cities, drummers are hired to annoy taxpayers... who don't like paying taxes. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/south_asia/4340497.stm Still, I find it somewhat inappropriate (the death toll *was* pretty high) Orange Box

Re: Bonfire Of The Manatees

Wow. What a big, steamy load of manatee cr*p. Unengaging, pointless, full of plot holes and idiotic lines. And yes, every plot idea has been re-used and recycled: Homer's gambling, Homer's debt to the mafia, Marge's "I'm sick of your antics, Homer!" outburst, Marge's romance with some good...

BTW, how large a file is that Yatta video? I'm on a dial-up connection which was apparently downloading it at an average of 2.4Kb/sec, and I closed it after about 1 meg out of boredom. Was I anywhere near getting the whole thing? Pity :-\ The file is about 6.5Mb. "Yatta!" is Mr. Sparkalo,...

This Open Canvas software seems interesting. What is it exactly? OC is a great (free!) drawing program that lets two or more people draw on the same canvas over the internet. It has a basic, yet powerful set of tools, and it's really fun! OC can be used for over-the-net tutoring, or random doodling...

Re: Strange Strangers

On the way to work, I have to walk past a "bad" neighborhood, where I've met some amazing, crazy people. Two incidents come to mind: - An old man wearing a dirty jacket pointed his bony finger at me, and commanded: "Get the f*ck outta my country, Sir! Right outta this country, damn!&q...

I'm sure she smells just fine without perfume...

Re: The Ancients' Secrets of Style (from one who was there!)

Great guidlines :D I'd add "gender awareness" to the list. Using the pronoun "he" in a sentence like "No person should be sad because he was dumped" may be considered sexist by some people. Use the awkward "he or she", or better yet, re-structure the whole sen...
