Re: Want to buy a phasor?

Actually, we're doing this at our local observatory. People often ask "Which star do I see in the eyepiece now?". Well, it's easy, just press a button, and you'll see it. ;)

Re: Want to buy a phasor?

Hehe, what a great idea! Have you ever seen such a green laser in the night? They are amazing indeed. You can easily show other folks the constellations, or use them as "lightsaber", just like in Star Wars. ;)

Re: Season 9 coming to DVD

Well, I just bought season 7 last friday, and season 9 will take some time before it gets released in Germany. But it's definitely on my list, since there are quite some nice episodes, as Jake pointed out already, esp. "Lisa's Sax", of course. And I'm so glad they finally released season ...

Re: One of those incredibly odd things...

Well, I know what you mean, but that happens all the time to me, living in Germany, where basically every movie and TV series is dubbed in German. So it's not uncommon to hear the same voice actor in dozens of different roles, and it's always funny to hear someone who speaks a Simpsons character, fo...

Re: the life continues

You are indeed a fan of lisa, heh?  Well, you'll be drawing lots of her, buddy! ;) Nothing wrong with that, at least in my humble opinion. :) I'm a bit doubtful about the bowtie behind her dress though. ;) It makes her looks like a little cute doll... and that's not the impression Lisa would like t...

Re: Like sitting on the top of a cold, lonely mountain...

Ok, I hope you don't mind that I waited until now, but I wanted to dedicate my 1000th posting on this one. ;) I must admit that I wouldn't have recognized the Pink Floyd song anymore, I guess I should listen to my collection again... Lisa's proportions are a bit off in some places (her left feet is ...

Re: the life continues

Wow, you never cease to amaze me, Gustavo! :lisa: I can't really decide which one I love more, the colorful, light and happy one or the black and white, melancholic one. Those different techniques you applied are interesting as well; in "light of my spirit" you used some kind of "wate...

Welcome back, Omar. It's good to hear you've finally settled, and I hope your headache will get better - take your time and adjust yourself to the new situation. :)

Re: the life continues

Nice pictures, CCD! :lisa: PS: (Lisa  did not like) ::) ..... She looks quite happy on the picture, though ;D Hehe, I thought the very same, actually. ;) But then again, Lisa couldn't possibly be mad about us Lisa-admirers, could she? :lisa: Those are some super-sweet pics again, CDD!, simply adora...

Re: Graphics Tablets Vs. Tablet PCs?

It's interesting that you point out the light and durable aspect, because the models I was looking at are notorious for their heavy weight (I was aiming for a convertable, though, so that's probably a factor).  3.5 hours sounds ideal, though (my ruddy Toshiba only gets 1.5, if that). Well, I guess ...

Re: Graphics Tablets Vs. Tablet PCs?

I have a TabletPC and I love it! It's one of the very first ones (Acer Travelmate C102 with Pentium III ULV and 256 MB RAM), but for most tasks, it's sufficient. The display is designed for writing on it, so it's far more durable than an average notebook display, but I suspect its pen resolution isn...

Re: Forum upgrade

Well, the audio support doesn't work very well for German users, since the letters are pronounced differently here. ;) On another note, my webspace provider has a very neat integraded backup feature in the webspace config menu. You just check what you want to have backupped (i. e. files on the HD, d...
