Re: You m ay, or may not,notice...

It does look different, and quite a bit better, but what of the more important aspects?  Security, for example?  Are we safer?  Does this board work more efficiently?  Am I just worrying over nothing?

I like it anyhow.

Re:Waaaaa? (Powerpuff)

It's real - it's the seed of an actual anime series.

I always KNEW the Japanese would end up obsessing over them! I knew it! Nobody believed me! *ahem* Well, it looks neat, anyhow.

I apologize in advance to any insomniacs or dyslexics reading this. Didja hear about my friend, the insomniac dyslexic agnostic? He stays up all night wondering if there's a dog. And my other friend, the paranoid dyslexic? He always thinks he's following someone. Duck walks into a bar, asks the bark...

gkscotty wrote: Well, the good news now is that the fic is almost finished - I managed to wrangle a few hours of quality laptop time, and am within a few lines of finishing episode 3.

Who would like to beta-read? I really do need some editing. It's far too long.
I offer my time when it is available.

Mr. Fairy will be scared away if he looks like that. He has man-jugs. That's even creepier than most of the other things Tingle does - and that's tough to manage.

Jake, hand me the ointment - my jaw hurts from slamming to the floor over that picture.

Re:REVIEW: On a Clear Day I Can't See My Sister

A fine episode, running the gamut of emotion and comedy. Maybe a touch too close to reality in spots (they didn't make the store practices up, except for the chip... I think), but genuinely entertaining. Also, I don't think I've ever seen Lisa that angry. Ever. But I must wonder, what's the deal wit...

The opportunity arises, so I must rise to meet it. How many otaku does it take to change a lightbulb? "The Japanese lightbulb was better!" How many gamers does it take? "Why just one when you can have infinite lightbulbs? UP-UP-DOWN-DOWN-LEFT-RIGHT-LEFT-RIGHT-B-A-START" How many ...

Oh, now that's just silly... and that's the way I like it. Keep it. Unfortunately, that won't change those not-so-fine folks at Rupert's House. Remember, their craniums are firmly implanted in a place that's more appealing than The Simple Life , and emits less odor. On a technical note, I think you ...

Responding in turn to each response: Horrorhead: Thanks for both comments. As for the song thing... I'll get back to everyone on that. I'm no musician. Marco: Nice reaction! I'm remembering that. The undertone in the third stanza is mostly reverent of the Lisa fans, though one who could see herself ...

Independent thinking, same concepts?

Let's say you have a fanfic idea. For the lack of another one, let's say one that takes place eight years in OFF's future, and which follows the tribulations of all members of the family over time. Now let's say you find out that a form of your idea has already been thought up by the writers, and is...

Re:The Simpsons; A Season Too Far?

Is the show worse now that in earlier seasons? Yes, no doubt. But before you take that as saying I'm not pulling for the show anymore, know that I try to look at things in as big a picture as possible. I can watch an episode from this season and still find it better than a lot of the crap that's on ...

Re:POEM: "The Girl in the Mirror"

I said I was going to finish this... so I did! Sure, the next two parts aren't as good as the first, but effort is worth something, right? "The Girl in the Mirror" Who is this girl I see in the mirror? What horror is in my reflection here? Who is this girl who consumes without pity, only t...

Re:REVIEW: Homer and Ned's Hail Mary Pass

The religious satire seemed to really miss the boat. Maybe it's just my outward view of Christianity but wouldn't more of the populace have reacted like Marge? I just don't buy so many people getting into the violence and death of the Bible and then being turned off by the reaffirming parts. Strang...
