Re: Official Birthday Thread? Maybe.

I was quite off the radar in the last few years, so I only saw your messages now. Thank you for all the good wishes!

Re: DALL-E Mini

I quite like giving absurd prompts to see what it comes up with. Oh, you want some absurd prompts? dallemini_2022-6-28_21-42-29.png dallemini_2022-6-28_21-46-18.png I kinda wish that we could help "train" the AI by choosing the best images for each prompt, because I'd just select images a...

Re: Creativity Hour works thread

That's a really good thing to practice, Chris! Human faces are super complex, and, when the drawing style allows diversity and a level of details, it's super cool to be able to develop unique looking faces. I suppose your attempt at focusing on those details is what made some of the lines a bit too ...

Re: The Formicide Gang [work in progress]: the bullshit thread

Well, at long last, the first post has been updated with the first version of the complete story . All chapters . Of course, I don't discard small fixes in the future, but there shouldn't be any changes anymore. This is it. If any of you were unsure about getting started while the story wasn't total...

Re: The Formicide Gang [work in progress]: the bullshit thread

Lovely bit of feedback/criticism once again, Chris! Thank you for still sticking with the story. I agree with all your points, and I'm glad that some of the pivotal moments of the story have worked for you. E.g. the group's reaction to Carol's secret was one thing I spent a lot of thought trying to ...

Re: Game Reviews

Thought I'd just tell a little anecdote to share some of the rush that these games give me. In relation to other factory games, Satisfactory has a different sense of scope and pace, which I believe is justified by its fully 3D environment: at least in these early stages, this is not a game where you...

Re: Creativity Hour works thread

It's hard for me to offer con-crit here, because anatomy is not my strength, and this looks like one of those cases where are these little problems that don't look too off when you look at them closely, but when seen at a distance, the off-ness clearly is there. I can see, for example, that the righ...

Re: Game Reviews

So would you say you found the game... enjoyable?-- D'OH! Well, the Rolling Stones couldn't get no Satisfactory, but like Bob Marley, this game did Satisfactory my soul. It pushed me and then just touched me 'till I could get my Satisfactory. Also, just thought I'd mention: I acquired the latest &q...

Re: Game Reviews

So, in another one of my "reviews for games I haven't completed yet": Satisfactory First things first: I hate that title. Seriously? We're naming our game after a pun now? And a pun that gives us such a lame, uninspiring, unimpressive title? "How's this game? Oh, it's satisfactory . N...

That's one of the cutest things I've seen from you, May! The colouring is a real stand out in this one, and the linework is beautiful as it usually is. The texture in the background features is a nice touch too!

EDIT: also Terri with a short hair worked surprisingly well!

Re: The Formicide Gang [work in progress]: the bullshit thread

So with the most recent update, we're up to chapter 10, concluding the "action" part of the story. We still have quite a long way to go before we're done, though...

Re: Game Reviews

So yeah, I just completed my first playthrough of Dyson Sphere Program. My first completed mission. Of course, the game doesn't stop once you do that: you can just keep on playing ad infinitum if you want it. Also, what counts as "completing the mission" is that you have to research one fi...

Re: Creativity Hour works thread

Oh, boy, it's been four years now! Crazy to think. Also, excellent question, Chris! But a very tough one. I had to go back and skim through my posts to see all that I've done. A surprising lot of my contributions were on the musical side. I guess, since a significant bit of the album was written and...
