Jessica (Flash)

Post by gkscotty » Sun Feb 15, 2004 2:35 am

A little something I've been working on for the past week or so.

http://www.simpworks.com/steven/jbeach.swf

There's still a lot I'd like to do (wind, more eye movements, mouth movement, just more preset animations) but this is it for now.

Note the green buttons and the minidisc Play/Stop buttons are interactive - though with the Minidisc buttons you have to wait for her hand to catch up with you.

Known bugs - sometimes her arm gets stuck, at certain body angles. Not sure how to fix. It will soon free itself.

Your thoughts please! :-)

It was so much easier to blame it on Them. It was bleakly depressing to think that They were Us. If it was Them, then nothing was anyone’s fault. If it was Us, what did that make Me? After all, I’m one of Us. I must be. I’ve certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We’re always one of Us. It’s Them that do bad things. - Jingo, Terry Pratchett

A note on the music - pretty much chosen at random since I couldn't think of anything. :-)

Space. It seems to go on and on forever.
But then you get to the end and a gorilla starts throwing barrels at you.

Guess what? That's definitely a son of a beach of an animation! Really well executed, and a lot of attention to detail. Impressive.

I will be great if you manage to implement more things in it, but the way it is now is great, already.

Very nice indeed! I can't really criticise it... her eyelashes should be thinner, but they look quite nice as they are. I'm deeply impressed.

(By the way, I was listening to "Ride On" from "Final Fantasy VIII" when I watched this. It worked too, just.)

Not bad. But I can't help but feel her head is a bit big.
Before continuing, it may be in your best interest, dear reader, to stop and ponder this. Picture it in your mind's eye. An evil one-eyed midget named Cheatum swam across the Gulf of Mexico wearing a shark fin on his back and then planted a bomb on a boat. Think about that. Let that sink in. Now. Wouldn't you want to buy a wrestling show after seeing this?

I'm impressed on the steady animation of her breathing in and out. The song is not bad, the overbite seems a little big,but it's over all cool.
