Oh Mother?

Being influenced by the pics of Hippie friends Homer and Marge had in high school, and various episodes too, I have made my first contribution to this board, by doing Marge.... as a Hippie!
BTW, I don't have a scanner yet... so I had to take a photo of it...
But, this is the start of many. I will get one.

Quite cute, and the quality isn't bad. (A lot better than drawing it on the computer, certainly!) I haven't seen an awful lot of pictures of pre-"The Way We Was" Marge, so I don't know how on-model it is, but I think her head is a little big, or her hair is a tad thin... something about the head, anyway. (And she's squinting, but I know from my own experience that drawing Simpsons character's eyes with coordinated pupils is *hard*.) And you really need to work on her hands. Other than that, though, cute and funny picture, and the body and most of the face look good to me.

I admit hands and the sizing of heads are not my better points.

^^^well for that, I once again recommend getting a couple of books on anatomy and studying and drawing from those.

References are good. They're not cheating. Use them until you don't need to use them anymore.
