Re:School Stuff
I know nothing about X-Men, but I love these pics. My favorite might be the one of Lisa and Mr. Bergstrom (so sweet!), but they're all good. But what's the story with Bart and Sherri (?) there?

Re:School Stuff
Great job on those pics!Just a few small things,
Henson-Gates: Hensons lower body looks too small to me.Lack of paper, I guess?
Newsradio: Second guy from the right looks like a plush toy, like ... round. I think that's the best way to explain it...
X-men 1: The Mystique one looks like Ruth Powers to me, at least her face. Her hair is a little rounder but still, Im thinking Ruth. Also is Bart supposed to be Gambit? I don't remember anyone else wearing that kinda coat but I don't remember Gambit using a Bo (Or is it a Jo?).Meh,it's minor.
X-men 2:I have nothing to add here that hasn't been said. But I'll say anyway that the Mr. Bergstrom/Lisa part was very well-done!

And what's the deal with traffic theory?

How ironic. My 'Character Design & Story-Boarding For Animation' teacher just gave us an assignment to do model sheets of...The Simpsons.

A+ coming up!
It was so much easier to blame it on Them. It was bleakly depressing to think that They were Us. If it was Them, then nothing was anyone’s fault. If it was Us, what did that make Me? After all, I’m one of Us. I must be. I’ve certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We’re always one of Us. It’s Them that do bad things. - Jingo, Terry Pratchett

Heh, looks like you've struck gold!
(And yes, I still like your X-Men sketches. Lots of good stuff there.)

I never got to do anything like that at University.
Oh wait, yes I did... *digs out his essays about The Simpsons* Ahh, memories... now, where are those matches?

I've already gotten my 'Newsradio' toons and my Grego maquette stuck in various display cases, and a random spaceman of mine as the main character in an in-class exercise, so it's plausible.gkscotty wrote: A+ coming up!
It's just so funny. I draw them for years, and now here I am officially doing it for an assignment. He even handed us copies of the Paul Wee tutorial that I've had in one of my 'Wizard' magazines for ages.
The scary thing? Aside from the tutorial, since there are so few official images and screenshots available on the web (thanks to the FOX brigade), he actually printed off a bunch of fan-made screengrabs for us to use as reference.
Trace said he didn't see himself as an icon, but wanted to be a logo. Frank settled for being a font.

The X-men simpson drawing looks good, but a bit too scribbly.

Re:School Stuff
A model sheet is a sheet that has a large, full-body drawing of the character on it, generally surrounded with smaller drawings/sketches of the character in action.
For my assignment, I have to do a full-body drawing and two action poses of each character.
For instance, here's Magaggie!

Re:School Stuff
Oh yeah, if that doesn't get top marks, something's wrong with your teacher.
Although... it's a minor thing really, I could be dead wrong too but... do we normally see Maggie's mouth when she's sucking back on her pacifier? I just can't recall seeing so.
But everything else, spot on. And I just love Maggie splashing in the puddle there.

Sometimes I feel like dressing up my Gaia avatar.
Feels kinda pointless since I don't actually do stuff at Gaia, so I'm putting it here.

Cheers. I'm working on Lisa now. Who hates drawing hair spikes? I hate drawing hair spikes!
From all the reference I've seen, unless she's smiling all you see of Maggie's mouth when she's sucking back is the lower lip. When the pacifier moves outward, all you see is her mouth area narrow to a sort of point.

Re:School Stuff
And here she is. Ah, Lisa, you've given me so much artist aggravation over the years...
I made a few mistakes here and there, but I think she came out okay.

Ohhh, it's nice!
Well, I really have nothing constructive to say here...
Maybe her arms/legs just a bit too thick and the pearls are too small.
But this is not important here. She is beautiful
