it has a horse in it

Post by skajme » Tue Feb 08, 2005 11:25 pm

i thought i'd do something different than simpsons and futurama style drawings, even though it does have a lot in common with the groening-esque style.
This is is also the first time i've ever drawn a horse and i think it turned out alright!

Space. It seems to go on and on forever.
But then you get to the end and a gorilla starts throwing barrels at you.

Verrrrry nice. Personally, I'd like to see a lot more non-simpsons/futurama drawings...

Um, the horse's head looks a bit big compared to the rest of the body, I think. I may be wrong, because I know very little about horses, but it just looks that way to me.

The horse's head is very big, but other than that it's very well drawn. :)

You sir, are a good colorist!

Excellent pic! Imo, horse size is OK, and they are both drawn very well, as well as the background.
I don't have any nitpicks here. And don't tell us anymore that you cannot draw trees. ;)

EDIT: Oh, only one nitpick here: I think the tree crown on the right must be behind the mountain, but that's all.

Beautiful indeed! The colors are very well done, though, and I really like the background. The only nitpick I have there should be some shadows.

It's amazing! I love the background though something about the horses nose in perspective is wrong though I am not sure how you can fix it 'cos I have no idea how to draw horses even though I have tried many times they always look REALLY REALLY odd. :(. Well done XD.

The shadows look OK to me and the colours are great. On the rare occasion that I have tried to draw a horse I have always found it extremely difficult (the damn things never stay still long enough......no.....forget that....) so I think you've done a good job.
There was a fantastic universal sense that whatever we were doing was right, that we were winning....
And that, I think, was the handle - that sense of inevitable victory over the forces of Old and Evil. Not in any mean or military sense; we didn't need that. Our energy would simply prevail. There was no point in fighting - on our side or theirs. We had all the momentum; we were riding the crest of a high and beautiful wave....
So now, less than five years later, you can go up on a steep hill in Las Vegas and look West, and with the right kind of eyes you can almost see the high-water mark - that place where the wave finally broke and rolled back.
