Having became obsessed with the latest and in my opinion best metal gear solid game, Metal Gear Solid 3: snake eater.
i thought i'd draw a nice little picture inspired by that very game.
And here is that very picture!
i am aware there a few bits and pieces wrong with it, but theyre not glaringly obvious, so i just left them in!
i'm not gonna eat that snake, i prefer mcdonalds!

^^^I hate to discourage this, but please don't think of it unless you are unbelievably funny. Otherwise, you wouldn't really be doing anything too creative, and you'll just follow along the footsteps of dozens of unfunny, unoriginal, video game-playing art majors.
That said, that's a damn good picture. The only thing that bugs me about it, is that unless I'm mistaken, it looks like you're using a few photoshop filters, especially for some of the shadows. I would really recommend trying to stay away from using them.

i had thought of doing it, but i agree with jon on the subject which is why i havent. im a bit crap at the writing, coming up with ideas and things like that!
Also jon. yep you are mistaken! i've only used one filter, and it was just the lighting effect to brighten where the trees are in the background, everything else is coloured by my fair hand! it took bloody ages too!

I never played this game, but the pic's atmosphere is thrilling. And the number of great details on their uniforms really makes an impression. I just have no words to describe. Great work!

Look out ya' idiot! Seriously though, why are enemy grunts so stupid? Having their backs turned to an open area and the like. Jokes aside, it's a great pic, even thought Snake is blatantly obvious crouching behind that rock. Colouring is great, above par that's certain, and the style itself has a comedic air to it.
I like it, don't get me wrong! Anything with guns in it is cool! (Except the NRA, that's powerfully uncool)
