The front paws look a little distorted to me, but then I have been lucky not to have had to deal with these kinda rats.. ;)

Cutie!

Looks pretty excellent to me. I'd agree with Markus about the paws (they still look good), and the bends in the tail seem a bit too sharp, but I don't know whether that is an issue. Great work!

Your rat needs feeding. *calls PETA*

woah, that's sooo cool XD I don't get why people hate rats so much. Nice shading too. The head though is HUGE but that's the style and looks great.

Cute!

...In a terrifying, emaciated, nightmare-inducing sort of way. ^^; The front teeth look like they're placed slightly off, but maybe it's just me. O_o;

It was shaded really nicely. ^^ Great job.

I did this one pretty quickly, so forgive the crappiness.

Good grief...
Jon, I'll be honest. I don't understand this picture, like don't understand Picasso's crappy sketches (I'm not comparing), like don't understand Malevich's stupid black square. Forgive my rudeness, but this one looks at least strange. The tree, though, was drawn nicely. But the rest... heh, it looks totally random. I'm not saying it's awful, just pretty unusual.

EDIT: It would be also nice to reduce the size of your pic. Not only because it's rather heavy (200+ Kbs), but also because its excessive width corrupts the page.

...Say!  How'd you get that watercolor/marker/somethingish affect with the lightning, moon, etc.? :)

I do not know! I didn't think it was anything special. I just used a normal brush in OpenCanvas (which, in case you didn't know, is an absolute dream to use with a tablet).

I think you can get OpenCanvas from here. It's a very simple program, but it really is amazing when working with a tablet.

I want to compliment you for your artwork, but it's just too damn ugly. Try making something that doesn't look so hideous and expect even better responses.

Joey, there are ways of phrasing a similar sentiment that are far less of a slap in the face to the artist (i.e. not decrying something as 'ugly' or 'hideous' just because you don't like it. Phrases like "it's not really my thing", to pluck one off the top of my head, communicate the same thing far less confrontationally). Also it's still entriely possible to give useful feedback on pictures where you're not in love with the content (on shading, proportioning, technique etc). A little tact and effort can take you a long way.

I think I draw ugly things because those are the ones that have exaggerated proportions/anatomy. Which makes it easier.

Which means I probably shouldn't, as much.

But they're also the more fun things to draw.

Jon, what about drawing Simpsonic stuff?
You know... some people here aren't professional artists, just Simpsons fans.
Drawing stuff related to the show can be more needed here...
Just an opinion.
