Fairly OddParents pics by TS

Post by tommy » Sun Aug 14, 2005 1:41 pm

Any FOP fans here? I love this show!
I wondered what the three main FOP girls (except for Vicky) would look like say 8 years in the future?
Here's a recent pic with them as college co-eds: freaky Tootie, who has an unhealty crush on Timmy, Timmy's platonic love Trixie and Trixie's friend Veronica.
If you know the characters you'll notice that I changed their hairstyle and gave them a new wardrobe...

Both original pencil sketch and finished color version.

Aiigh!  Trixie cut her hair too short!  ;)  Okay, it's still a terrific picture.  I must admit that the show is pretty darned funny, and I especially enjoyed the guest voices of Jay Lenno ("The Crimson Chin") and Adam West (as "Adam West playing the Crimson Chin"), etc.  The plots and jokes are great, but I wish they'd cut back on the scatalogical humor a bit, though.  (I'm surprised that Nickelodeon lets them get away with as much as they do.)

I would be interested to see how Vicky looks in her early 20s and if Timmy really turns out looking like Gah (the Norwegian teen supermodel).

Hm. I've never seen this show before. Interesting characters... if I could ever find Nick Toons on my satellite I'd give it a whirl. :) Good picture, anyway. Your colouring is neat, the poses are neat. It's all... neat. Heh.
Our choicest plans have fallen through, our airiest castles tumbled over, because of lines we neatly drew and later neatly stumbled over.

Ah, I've heard from this show, though it doesn't seem to be broadcasted here. Anyway, these are some great pics, at least as good as your Simpsons work. I like the sketch in particular, great work on the crosshatched shadings!

Thanks guys. Someone told me that you could see three decades of fashion in this pic: 70's earthen flower girl Tootie, 80's hotpants Trixie and 90's grunge/tomboyish Veronica. Weird coincidence, I didn't think of that when drawing it.
@CG: the characters are interesting indeed, but of course in the show they're just 10 years old kids. Tootie is the classic weird ugly kid (but quite surprisingly she has a big net cult following...). Trixie is the snubby cheerleader type, completely shallow, but perfect on the outside. Veronica is an obsessed screwball who tries in vain to become as popular as Trixie.
Here's another recent FOP pic. Tootie as a bride. I still can't imagine what people see in her, she's still ugly as hell... but at least her dress looks good I think.
Again, both sketch and color finish.

Thanks D.J... but damn, how can anyone NOT love Fairly OddParents...?
Anyway, here's the last one of the batch - Tootie in all her freaky glory! (contains very very mild nudity, hope it's considered acceptable...)

(ADMIN EDIT: Not sure if it is.  So when in doubt, link it.)

I love Fairly OddParents... right up until Cosmo became inexplicibly nasty towards his wife.  It's almost like Jerkass Homer all over again.  :(  Danny Phantom's pretty good, too; I love shows with some form of continuity, and it's darker than the average Nicktoon.

Those drawings are excellent, tommy.  I really like Tootie's college look.  Trixie's hair color/length kind of throws me off, because, IMO, it makes her look slightly tomboyish, but it's not a bad look by any means.

I'd be interested to see older Vicky, too.  (Older) Timmy looks so different between forward-flash episodes that I'm not even sure where someone would begin to picture his future self (I prefer the Timmys Channel Chasers showed, myself).

Maybe like this?  ;) Twice as sexy and twice as mean...
Color version will follow shortly, with background and such.

Thanks SS  :)
I worked about the whole day to get the color version ready. I think it's pretty cool, nice background and brush effects... Also changed Vick's facial expression - she looked a bit too freaky and demonic in the sketch...
