The Lion King
Now, your probably wondering why its my name that started this post and not Black_Raven. Well, truth be told this is a tribute to her for the nice things she has helped me with. So heres to you!
Yeah, I'm way to busy drawing when I should be working out what ohm resistors are in parralell and in series...
By the way, this is my first attempt at drawing Timon, and pretty much any Lion King character. But I refuse to take THAT much credit for it since I took a picture from google and followed the guide lines as near as I could.
Anyway, thanks again Rach Woo woo!

you allready know how i feel about this ^^
I must say though, I feel kinda honoured
Anyway, This is a superb first attempt at timon, mine was awful XP
I would like to keep this thread going in the future when I sort out some of my TLK art though most is allready on my devintart page but I guess it dosn't hurt to post some more seeing as it will be a looong time before i might draw simpsons again:D
I'll just wait a while

Hakuna Matata, what a wonderful phrase. It means no worries, for the rest of your days, its our problem free, philosophy.
Sorry, couldnt resist bursting into song.
A Great pic of Timon there.

Ahh, what a classy juxtaposition of Simba and Lisa's head in your second drawing, Black_Raven.
Seriously though, they're all very well done. ^.^

Re: The Lion King
These 'sketchs' never fail to impress, which is why I think they dont diserve to be called sketchs... we gotta make up a word thats a little more, creditable...
Untill that word jumps out, I like the third one a lot! Its proportion is a little off, and you regognised that but kept your foot in, and did the great coloring job.
Since this is in reverse order, the second one are very on model. Especialy Simba. Lion King isnt my speciality but I know a good Simba when its in front of me!
First one is basic, but functional. Maybe the smile is a little too large but, it wouldnt be cheesy without it
Hope to see more

Re: The Lion King
Hey, thanks Casper Soz, forgot to reply to this thread ^^ '
I need to work on my timon sketchs a lil more seeing as I've been drawing Simba since I was 4 (skipping a few years of peer pressure that is...)
Glad you like the weird Simba though

Re: The Lion King
Before I go I'll just update this thread with a pic I'm working on.
So far it's just in basic colours but when I get back I plan on adding a background, shading and effects
Anyway just an explanation: I was watching my TLK dvd features and decided to watch Warthog Rhapsody, which is the early version of Hakuna Matata, they had a recording of the song and a story bored for it and for practise I paused these story board images and practised sketching them into the style disney would have used if it was used in the movie ( although I prefere that Hakuna Matata was used instead, I wish they could have done more with it somehow, maybe an exter animated feature rather than the morning report?? o_0)
Anyway I paused one story board image of the trio in a line dancing with bugs as hats and so i drew it in the usual TLK disney style with a fine pencil, and here's how it is looking now
EDIT: I've knowticed that some of the colours and lines have gone over one another, I'm pretty sure this is just the result from resizing it ( dosn't look like this on the actural size o_0 I made sure that it didn't) but I'm sure there's a reson to why it does that, just I proberbly won't understand it...

Re: The Lion King
Wow, Rachel. I can say without a doubt that this is the best piece of art I have seen from you! Kudos! The colors are amazing, and also almost identical to the originals. Also, the characters look on model. I think Pumba's head is a little squished, but other than that this is a marvelous piece.
Congratulations! Why, if you keep going at it like this, you are going to draw comics in a year or two.

Never judge a book by its cover.....
Re: The Lion King
I agree with Omar… is one of the best drawings of “Lion King” that I have seen … Wow!
