mystik's misc art!
mystik's misc art!
this is the thread i'm gonna use for the Critic's Corner board.
to start off, a garfield sketch (that i was gonna colour with a felt tip, but it ran out! damn), and my properly coloured version.
enjoy.

Re: mysti's misc art!
well i think it is pretty good. i love garfield and always have. (I am more a garfield fan than i am a simpsons fan, pathetically so.) keep practicing on his head. it is a bit thin, but otherwise good work. i hope to see more
He stood tall on top of the mountain of his ancestors and looked down to see his home. He let loose a loud howl. He is now a man, but not just a man. He is now a true Wolf and others are sure to follow him.
Re: mysti's misc art!
to practise, i tried drawing some charecters from a Dandy (crappy British comic) annual i found lying around in my room (actually i've always hated hated the Dandy. i much prefer the Beano (brilliant, lovable, great, funny, far superior British comic - but that's just my opinion)
anywho... here are Eddie Potter and Ed Case. (they looked fun to draw... and were.)

Re: mysti's misc art!
Hey, they're pretty nice!
I'm not sure if you want con-crit, but then even if you did, the only animal I can vaigly draw is a 'homosapien', thingy.
I like the parrots beak, its well balanced on the branch and doesnt look like its about to fall over or anything so, its a plus!
The second is the most impressive for me. I like how the tail sits on the grass, but most of all... its face is sooo cuuute! (Which if I be honest, isnt the reply I'd expect from an 18 year old who still draws cars on his maths sheets with guns on them)
And of course, the blue bird is very nice. The colour scheme is well used. I think the wing on the left is a bit small but, I couldnt really pick anything up than that.
Did you use a picture to aid you in drawing these?
Nice work

Nice work
but what i didnt do was copy from the pictures - i changed the positions the animals were in and also some of the facial expressions to make these sketches my own. in fact i used three different photos of parrots to help my sketch...
i dont like copying at all but taking ideas from photos is all right by me.
thnx for the nice comments though - always welcome. as for con-crit, i'm always open for that!
Faerie luv
this is just a little pic i did yesterday. it's painted with acryllic, and done without a picture guide (which is why its probably out of proportion in places lol)
enjoy
