STORY: Grey Street

Postby c_nordlander » Sat Oct 26, 2013 2:51 pm

A realistic, non-scary story for once. Niamh, a young feminist and graduate student, has to deal with the revelation that her admired foster-mother has a background in the sex industry. She learns to cope with this, but what does it mean for her own life? (Kind of inspired by George Bernard Shaw's play "Mrs. Warren's Profession", but set in the present day.)

As usual, contact me and I'll email you the story (I've already shown it to a couple of friends). Approximately 3 pages long; contains non-graphic discussion of sexual content.

As usual, all criticism is extremely welcome.

Note: while this is a story about feminism and sexual morality, it's not meant to convey a message about any of those things. Both parties in the story have their valid points.
The noose draws tighter;
This is the end;
I'm a good fighter
But a bad friend;
I've played the traitor
Over and over;
I'm a good hater
But a bad lover.
