Before it's gone-- *this has poems mainly*

I wanna contribute before this certain site is taken away, as I read it would be. Too bad it is-- Is anyone good at poems? I never realized I had talent in it, but I actually do. Any kind of poem. Haiku; Senryu; Sense; One, two--- any at all.
::) I have to admit, I am very flowery with words at times, example:
*Sense Poem i did in school*
Love looks like a colorful, enduring dream;
It sounds like the echoing harp of the Heavens' orchestra;
It smells like sweet honeysuckle;
It feels like a soft caress on your face;
It tastes like a fountain of sweets flowing through your mouth.

Yeah, exactly what I mean. Please post if you have poems ^^

What do you mean, exactly, with "before this certain site is taken away"? Are you referring to this one we're standing in? Am I missing something? Why am I doing so many questions?

But well, yeah, I have also written some poetry, too. Two of them, precisely, I posted here, some way back. Damned I'll be if I remember where they are, now. Someone (i.e. me) would have to dig them up.

I'm pretty sure he means "The Creative Pen"...

Oh, you're probably right. I just found it strange, and I'm pretty sure The Creative Pen is not going down. It shall stay!

Well, I found the thread where I posted my poems, but the attachments were deleted because they're old... like, four years old? No matter, because... well, I'm posting 'em again! Some of you might have already read it, but I still want to contribute to the thread... somehow.

This one is pretty grim, angsty, sad, you name it. It's called "In Blank".

This one is more, um, exciting and... uh, "edgy". Don't tell me I didn't warn you. It's "Mind In Flames".

Ok, so there goes it. I should have written new ones, but I'm only recycling my past glories. I'm such a rip-off! ;)

Woo, text-based browsing, never been so much fun... Don't mind me, I'm half way through installing Gentoo Linux on my computer, so I'm stuck with browsing using a text-based browser called Links while something compiles. Fun.

The Creative Pen isn't going anywhere. I had said that it might disappear, but that was only if it wasn't to successful. It seems to be successful enough to keep around...

Looking for poems? Well, here's a Haiku about Haiku which I made in English class last week:

"Huh?"
What is this I hear?
What on earth is this Haiku
That I hear from you.

Not much but it's something.

Nice work, all!

Hey, thought I might as well hack something out...

There once was a man from... naah.

Let's try this again...

Hope. By Christina Nordlander

It tears us to the heart and to the brain.
Of all our wounds, we bow to only this:
It tears us to the bone. We must maintain.

Why are we fools to fear hope less than pain,
The only torture we are like to miss?
It tears us to the heart and to the brain.

We hope, and fear, and grieve, and hope in vain,
And hope we will be wrong, and hope amiss.
It tears us to the bone. We must maintain.

In every cavern, every shaded lane
Of our souls, we await the sunlight's kiss:
It tears us to the heart and to the brain.

So we enjoy and cling to life's sweet bane
And spurn oblivion, though it be bliss.
It tears us to the bone. We must maintain.

To hope! and know that day will come again!
'Tis at the door, 'tis at the door, I wis.
It tears us to the heart and to the brain,
It tears us to the bone. We must maintain.

Honour's Reply. By Christina Nordlander

Fight unto death for the ones you have given your life to;
Fight unto death or defeat, though they will not see you fall.

Coo. Sorry if there is almost no response from me. Being twelve has it's downsides *cough, cough, school, cough* Ah, oh well. And today, we learned more poems in school. FREE VERSE. FREE! I did these two during class:
(don't laugh at this one)
The Red Dress

To suit this smart, eight-year-old girl,
it won't take much for her.

No worry of a v-cut shirt or what khaki pants are.
Just a red dress will do.

With matching red sandals, red is what goes.
Tattered at the bottom,
yet it alwyas stays fit.

No need to look hard,
for that small red dress
that Lisa Simpson holds.

(Seriously, my teacher said--to help us--think of our favorite color *mine red* and list ten things of that color. Lo, Lisa's dress)

Rosy Red Cheeks

Blew a kiss; catch it
and hold it tight.

He's looking at you.

The doorbell rings--
Fowers for you.

He's waiting by the pier.

Running in best clothing,
Eyes meet at the end.

He laces fingers with you.

Walking along in the dim of night,
You're held in his arms.

He leans over and kisses you.

And in that dim of night,
rosy red cheeks light the dark.

Well, that was very long, but satisfying ;D

"'Tattered at the bottom,
yet it alwyas stays fit.'" Was 'sposed to be always

and Fowers for you was 'sposed to be flowers.

I'm a correction geek, I guess?

Nothing worng with being that. But you someone should probably point you towards the "Modify" button, at the top of your past posts. Lord knows I'd be lost without it... ;)

OOh, nice poems... mind if I add one?

CHRISTMAS 1998

I sat before the plain window that never kept the cold out
wearing more clothes than you should have to indoors
I looked up at the harsh yellow lanterns in the dark street outside
if you’ve got a good imagination you might think I looked like an angel

I thought back to Christmases of days gone by
when I would wake my parents up at some hour of the morning
and they would shout at me to go back to bed, not even trying
to hide the grim hangovers that never made them forget
I thought back to the happy moments, at sometime past six
when they would finally give into my enthusiasm and pretend
that Father Christmas had made it to our house at last
and then we’d go down, me, my sister, my mother and father
a happy family enjoying a happy Christmas
(but if someone tells you at Christmas that they’re happy
   they’re almost always lying)
I used to be so happy sorting the toys from the wrapping paper
And sometimes my parents would even be happy too
you could even see it in their eyes
until they remembered their son, my brother
and how Christmas would never be complete again
and their smiles would fade until the next year and then the party was over
they always remembered sooner or later

So I sat there on Christmas Eve 1998 alone
knowing that if anyone came down my chimney that night
   or any night
I would be giving rather than receiving
and knowing that carol singers in this shitty street would not take no for an answer

But I had bought myself a present that day
with the money I had made working in retail
Christmas is such a busy time in retail
enough snow to see me through to the springtime
if you know what I mean
alone and cut off from friends and family who all had better things to do
it seemed like a good idea at the time

So I sat there on Christmas Eve with my memories
that seemed to get worse with every passing year
with my block of snow to keep me company
and I was happy

I was as happy as can be

Wow.... I didn't even see that. HA! Okay, thanx. I guess you were that "someone" that pointed it out, heh.

One last thing before I'm done--for today at least. I wasn't able to get a good chance to read "Mind in Flames" or "In Blank" before, but I did just now. :o Holy crap that's mind-delving, 'Mr. Snake'...... if that is your real name, HAHEH!! Okay... Not just his, all of you people's (?) work is great.

Oh yeah, I found out that one of my poems was published in our town newspaper ^^ This isn't the only time, though.
Publication--there's an idea, all of yous! Anything is possible, really.

Outtie.
