500 Words
I'm trying a little experiment to get the writing cogs in my head spinning again. I'm going to try to write small essays of at least 500 words every day for as long as I can. I'll even carry a notebook around with me for those times I don't have a computer handy. Yesterday's peanut piece was a the first part of that. I figured, rather than create a new thread for each piece, that I'll just put them here.
This is one of my biggest pet peeves. Read at your own risk!
Enjoy!

Well, it's not an everyday thing anymore, but here's a new little musing of mine. About my recent obsession with cooking. Enjoy!

Thats a very interesting artical, I'm not much of a chef, but I do enjoy cooking. Cheese with Egg toasties are among my favurate foods to cook.
Besides that, its writen in a format thats readable, and not tedious. Good job!
Looking forward for the next serving

Good to see you're back in this, Terry. (Who knows, maybe I should try doing this as well. My writing isn't really coming along at the moment.)
I very much enjoyed reading this slice of life, though it must have been pretty awful at the time. I can't really blame you, though. Not being an actor myself, I don't want to imagine the anxiety levels you get on a regular basis. (It doesn't help that I have a very slight tendency towards hypochondria myself.)
Good to know the beard chemicals weren't killing you! This board would be a much duller place.

Ahmen. Was a good, if not worrying addition to your fine collection... Releaved to hear it was nothing serious
The only moment I'd ever said to myself "This is the end..." is falling from a tree, which lasted half a second and I ended up walking away. Somthing like this must be terrifying. Just glad to know your okay!
Looking forward to the next update Terry

I got sick and tired of the media trying to scare us so I just had to rant.

Re: 500 Words
I've got nothing but to agree with you. Media is just there to impress and get attention, and they've accoplished that goal in most of us. They are always exaggerating the facts (we call it "Amarillismo" in Mexico) and adding a cherry toping on top. The truth is they aren't all the same, and as you said CNN whose reputation and creadibility is suppose to be the highest, has gone down like the titanic in the Atlantic. Their use of words makes me laugh "the heat wave killed 9 people" I guess it was a very big "clawed monster" whose vicious for human blood was unstoppable.
I was wondering if there is a problem with me starting a thread of my own ideas, based on your five-hundred-word idea ofcouse, as the first one who came up with this. It will definately open up my mind and help me a lot with my writing too.

I'm okay with that. That's the whole reason I started doing this. Sure I fell off the wagon for a while, but I'm certainly trying to get back on.O. Perez wrote:

*BUMP-LE*
Another well spoken 500 letters in the print, or about the print in that matter.
I humbly agree, however... I believe this has been happening a lot longer. I mean those RSPICAO or somthing adverts that basicly black-mail human emotion to sell, or rather 'lend' so much a month.
The heat thing is a pain in the neck though. Its a normal summer if block out the 'profit-propaganda'.
Anyways, I like I like! My brain has yet more words to munch and disect!
