Re: 500 Words
Has it really been two and a half months since I last did one of these? *slaps self*
Well, since many of you don't know who Eric Bischoff is (and I didn't do a very good job explaining it, heh), here's the short version of his story. Enjoy!

Re: 500 Words
An interesting read! I only got into wrestling a few months back myself so a lot of the backstories escape me. So, thanks for the info!

Sometimes I feel like dressing up my Gaia avatar.
Feels kinda pointless since I don't actually do stuff at Gaia, so I'm putting it here.

Yeah, yeah. Another month goes by, but here's something new!
I decided to go a different route this time and write a story from a third-person perspective. Instead of bitching in the first-person. Enjoy!

Re: 500 Words
Very nice!
Characterisation is very consistant, and unfortunatly, very realistic. I wish I could believe people like this didnt exist, but... its a sad fact of life.
Nothing much to say... other than to compliment it as another peice of enjoyable writing to digest

This one's not quite 500 words, but I still think it's funny.
I thought I'd jump on this before The Onion did. Enjoy!

Wow. I suddenly understand 70% of all celebrity breakups. Excellent stuff, but far too convincing.

Same Crap, Different Car.
NASCAR just had it's new "Car of Tomorrow" race this weekend. It was just as boring and stupid as any other race. So I ranted about it. Enjoy!
(I really don't do this often enough anymore.)

A race with a speed limit? That's rush hour, surely.
I bet the manufacturers of Lightspeed Briefs also make the Jockstrap of Tomorrow.

Re: 500 Words
Hey, this is quite encouraging! I've seen a bit of NASCAR here and there and I've always found it dull. I thought perhaps this was because I'm British and therefore it wasn't ingrained in my psyche so it's nice to see someone Stateside panning it! Mind you, I don't get baseball either About the only thing I remotely liked about it was the lack of technology. I don't know whether this still applies but it always used to be a manual transmission bolted to a big V8 in a trick chassis....and that was about it. As a vehicular technophobe that always rather appealed to me, though the near constant cautions and driving in circles didn't. 60 mph on a circular track...we actually have something similar over here, it's called the M25.
Fantastic line! They use Metallica in their ads when they should have stuck with country music.
There was a fantastic universal sense that whatever we were doing was right, that we were winning....
And that, I think, was the handle - that sense of inevitable victory over the forces of Old and Evil. Not in any mean or military sense; we didn't need that. Our energy would simply prevail. There was no point in fighting - on our side or theirs. We had all the momentum; we were riding the crest of a high and beautiful wave....
So now, less than five years later, you can go up on a steep hill in Las Vegas and look West, and with the right kind of eyes you can almost see the high-water mark - that place where the wave finally broke and rolled back.
