Research, as we all know, is incredibly important for a writer (and that includes ones writing realistic fiction set in the modern day). It may seem like having to do homework again, but it's a lot better than that: think how many good ideas for your story that might come up because you're researching some element in it.

This is a thread for you to post informative pages about... anything. Anything at all that might help create accuracy or correct local colour in a novel or short story.
