Choose Your Own Adventure: "Display of Weakness"

Postby c_nordlander » Mon Apr 01, 2013 9:11 am

Chris can... make games?

Well, not really, but in between watching "Predator" and a Breaking Bad marathon, I managed to enter a game in a game jam known as Ludum Dare, on the theme of "blood in the water".

Can be played here. It's an attempt to create an actual game using a CYOA engine (Twine, which is really helpful and easily used). Feel free to check it out if you want. Instructions are on the page.

If you want to see a list of all the games entered in this challenge, they're here. I haven't played any of them yet, but there are some very interesting-looking ones.
The noose draws tighter;
This is the end;
I'm a good fighter
But a bad friend;
I've played the traitor
Over and over;
I'm a good hater
But a bad lover.

I love this game Chris! Two good endings, one bad ending.
Now known as Lisabella! (Or Missy.  Missy's good.)

Thank you very much for playing, and I'm happy you liked it.

I drew some cover art for it. The tree isn't brilliant, but I think it came out all right for MS Paint.

Fun fact: the landscape where the endgame takes place is based on the east coast of Sweden where my mum and I like to go hiking.
