Characters for Reference

Post by archonix » Tue Aug 10, 2004 9:36 pm

This thread hs been created so that people can post the names of characters - from The Simpsons, Futurama and indeed the entire Life in Hell saga - that they feel would benefit from a character reference sheet.

The obvious ones are:
Bart, Lisa, Maggie, Homer and Marge in The Simpsons;
Leela, Fry, Amy, Hermes, Bender, Professor Farnsworth and Zoidberg in Futurama.

This is not just about posting all the character names you can think of. Repeats don't matter. What matters is that your opinions of which character should get a sheet is voiced.

And... go! ;D

Futurama: Nibbler, Mom, Zapp, Kif, Scruffy, Cubert

* = only because of the attention she recieves at this place

Hmmm...another new forum. This could be interesting. :)

And I think all the main characters have been covered now.

Yeah, I'm struggling to come up with any other candidates that should get preference over the ones already mentioned (damn you and your thoroughness Kif!). Possibly should do one for Rev Lovejoy (I think he crops up frequently enough to benefit).

btw... I'm a mod? Wow. This whole idea has suddenly ratched up a couple of notches in importance ;D

Maybe Santa's Little Helper could end up in the list.
Before continuing, it may be in your best interest, dear reader, to stop and ponder this. Picture it in your mind's eye. An evil one-eyed midget named Cheatum swam across the Gulf of Mexico wearing a shark fin on his back and then planted a bomb on a boat. Think about that. Let that sink in. Now. Wouldn't you want to buy a wrestling show after seeing this?

I would love to help and write one for Lisa.  Anyone know how to go about clearing that with the bigwigs, such as Der Kommissar Geranovich et al?  Just trying to offer what I can to one of my favorite websites.  Danke.
Hey you, out there in the cold,
Getting lonely, getting old,
Can you hear me?
Hey you, standing in the aisles,
With itching feet and fading smiles,
Can you feel me?
Hey You! Don\'t help them to bury the light.
Don\'t give in without a fight.

You don't have to ask him, after he practically asked you to do that. :)
I look forward to see a Lisa reference by you! But prepare for some criticism. ;)

Sometimes I feel like dressing up my Gaia avatar.
Feels kinda pointless since I don't actually do stuff at Gaia, so I'm putting it here.
