Farewell, Robin Williams
I hate to be the harbinger of bad news, but I'm terribly shocked and sad by this. The suspected cause of death is suicide, and he had been fighting against severe depression. Is there something wrong with the world?

Re: Farewell, Robin Williams
Dreadful. You were a good guy, Mr Williams.
It was so much easier to blame it on Them. It was bleakly depressing to think that They were Us. If it was Them, then nothing was anyone’s fault. If it was Us, what did that make Me? After all, I’m one of Us. I must be. I’ve certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We’re always one of Us. It’s Them that do bad things. - Jingo, Terry Pratchett

Damn. I wasn't really a fan of his work, but depression is a horrible thing, and it always feels so wrong when it's a comedian.
Poor fellow.

Shazbot. One of the funniest human beings to ever live, will be missed immensely.
Re: Farewell, Robin Williams
I had one of those chance occurrences with Robin Williams. Really! He's (oops, was) a big bicycle fanatic just like me. A few years ago the Tour of California bike race started in my home town. The day before the race began I was in my favorite bike shop, which happens to be the classic shop (meaning small), and the shop was packed with way too many people. There standing quietly in one corner was Robin Williams and a friend. He didn't seem to want to be noticed so I didn't do the classic star struck stupid fan reaction. I'm sure I was staring, but still...
