Knowing it was coming doesn't make this any less sad. :( A real loss for everyone.

I just finished re-reading Small Gods. Knowing he left behind such great books does make it a little better, but still...

Thanks, Sir Terry.

It was so much easier to blame it on Them. It was bleakly depressing to think that They were Us. If it was Them, then nothing was anyone’s fault. If it was Us, what did that make Me? After all, I’m one of Us. I must be. I’ve certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We’re always one of Us. It’s Them that do bad things. - Jingo, Terry Pratchett

Sometimes I feel like dressing up my Gaia avatar.
Feels kinda pointless since I don't actually do stuff at Gaia, so I'm putting it here.

This is almost like losing a family member for me. I... I don't even... even a few days ago, I was hoping they'd find a cure for him and that his illness wouldn't be the end after all.

His books helped me through a very rough time when I was a teen. We are richer for having known you, Sir Terry.

Oh, well the world is gonna end
So dance around the fire that we once believed in
Oh, wanna tear it down again, now
'Cause there's nothing left for us to bleed
Give it up, the sons of anarchy
So come around and have another round on me!

I haven't read enough of his stuff (yet), but the bits I have read were honest and I liked that.

I haven't even read this works yet, but I'm saddened because of how influential he was for some of you folks. My deepest sympathies.

I was out at sea when the news broke, but dang, I am so friggin' sad to hear this.

On the bright side, as much as I've read of Sir Terry, there's still a crap ton I've yet to discover, and I look forward to doing just that.

Well spoken! And there's a load of stuff there that I think you'll enjoy.

I know it's a weird little sentiment, but if you check the headers when you load simpworks.com you'll see
