England... here I come!

Post by Abe_Simpson » Mon Aug 09, 2004 6:07 pm

As you can tell by the subject, I (Mary) am going on a family vacation to England and Scotland. I've been to Scotland before to visit my many, many relatives, but never to England. We're leaving next Wednesday, and if anybody that has been there or lives there (and I'm sure that applies to many of you) I could really use some ideas of places to go and things to do.

Oh, and just so everyone knows, I've been in summer school (by choice) and to a cottage my family rented, and have had little time to go on the computer. I'm now back for about a week, and then I leave again.
:)

Well, to be honest, there's so much aorund here that it's hard to know what to recommend. Where are you staying?

Have a good time there. Just don't yell too much drunk leprechaun jokes while you're passing over Ireland. Which part of England are you going too?
Before continuing, it may be in your best interest, dear reader, to stop and ponder this. Picture it in your mind's eye. An evil one-eyed midget named Cheatum swam across the Gulf of Mexico wearing a shark fin on his back and then planted a bomb on a boat. Think about that. Let that sink in. Now. Wouldn't you want to buy a wrestling show after seeing this?

Well, we're staying in London for a few days, and then we're driving to Scotland and stopping on the way, and then we're staying in Coatbridge with my aunt.

Is there anything that I would be insane to miss? What's that really big toy store called?

*is juvenile*

Gosh! Thank-you so much for that! I would have been running around crying while screaming "toys!" over and over if I didn't know what the toy store was called! My mom said that we can go there for as long as I want... heh heh... :)

Well, I was in London a couple of weeks ago, in fact, and I can say this much:

*funky music starts*

*sings* Oh, you've got to, Go to the Tower! You've got to, Go to the Tower!

*stops, somewhat embarrassed*

And make sure you'll get a guided tour. It's better than gold.
