Based of Alex's "What movies are your favourite, and why?" thread.

I don't have the guts to start.

Hmm, it seems like no-one else does either...

I hate to admit it, but I'm really into crap soaps like Eastenders, Coronation Street, and Brookside. Apart from them, the only things I ever watch with any regularity are comedies - pretty much anything apart from Friends, and VH1. I'm not really a big watcher of telly, though.

My top 5:

1. The Simpsons
Duh.

2. The Powerpuff Girls
One of THE best shows on television. Not "best cartoons", "best TV shows."

3. Invader Zim
Hands down, one of the funniest, most original shows I've ever seen. (Zim: "I've had enough of your nonsense coming from your filthy mouth filled with...corn!" Dib: "But I haven't been eating corn." Zim: "LIAR!")

4. Futurama
Another case of "enough said." :)

5. Samurai Jack
One word: WOW.

I don't watch much TV, so my favorite list isn't very big:

The Simpsons: I don't really have to explain this, do I?  ;)

Star Trek: I like DS9 best, along with TNG. Voyager is quite nice, but unfortunately, the authors run out of ideas, so sometimes it seems to be a poor imitation of TNG... "Enterprise" will be broadcasted in Germany not earlier than this fall, so I can't say anything about. The classic series had also great moments, but of course the visual appearance is a bit outdated.

Science- and computer shows: I'm very interested in this themes, so I watch them regulary.

I really don't watch TV, just a bit of the news when i'm eating.
Sometime i catch a glimpse of Friends but i really don't like it much.
As for Simpsons and Futurama, i only watch the episodes i really love when they air here (and when i remember). Otherwise i just download them. :)

Ducktales... I miss that show.  :(

Anyway...

The Simpsons- "Well, duh."- Marge

The Bullwinkle Show- So it's been out of production for 41 years! It's still good! It's still good!

VeggieTales- Okay, technically not a TV show, but still...  ;D

Teacher's Pet- "Prejudiced?! All mailmen are eeevil!"

I know I'll think of some when I'm lying in bed... grr..
Blank has gone my mind, sorry.

The Simpsons
Love it.

South Park
It's just gotten insanely funny recently.

Oblongs
Call me crude, but I can't get anough of this!

The Vicar of Dibley
"Sorry I'm late. Sheep exploded." ;D

League of Gentlemen
All who haven't seen it, shame shame shame!

Monty Python's Flying Circus
It's still one of the funniest Brit comedies there is.

In order:
1. Simpsons:
You kinda saw that one comin' %5)

2. Frasier:
Oh god...i've cried so many times. lol. Whenever I watch reruns and feel bad for Niles, I start sobbing because all this bad stuff happens to him.
(I'm a weirdo, can't you tell?)

3. Friends
I just really really like it. Joey's so goofy  :D

I really don't watch much TV anymore.  But here we go....

The Tick:  One of the Funniest Shows Ever.  SPOON!

Monty Python's Flying Circus:  Eons ago when A&E showed the original episodes at 10pm on Saturdays, I stayed up late specifically to watch that show. :)  Hysterically funny, and I taped a lot of bits and pieces of episodes.

Simpsons/Futurama:  Natch.

Frasier:  I haven't seen it in a while, but this show had some really funny episodes.  Loved Roz, Loved Niles and Daphne (okay, Frasier too), and loved the funny captions.

Seinfeld:  Elaine is one of my heroes.  Yadda yadda yadda....

The Muppet Show:  Another one I haven't seen in eons....Used to watch it ever single Saturday morning on Nickelodeon as a kid.

WKRP In Cincinnati:  A goofy show about a misfit radio station.  Dr. Johnny Fever is in the house!

Then there's the occassional 'PPG', 'Dexter's Laboratory' and 'Batman/Superman'....

The Simpsons, Seinfeld:  Benchmarks for a generation.

M*A*S*H:  Best ever combination of comedy, drama, real-feeling characters and solid writing.

Taxi:  Perhaps the best ensemble cast ever?

NYPD Blue and Homicide:  Set the standard for police drama in the '90s.  It's Dennis Franz and Andre Braugher's world, everyone else on TV is just paying rent.

Top toons:  DuckTales, Rescue Rangers, Darkwing Duck, Animaniacs, South Park, Beavis & Butthead, Daria.

It's because it contains the word "p-o-o". OK, so I'm rampantly pro-censoring, but I figure this has gone too far. Come on, you stupid censoring program, listen to Mr Mackey's song in "Bigger, Longer and Uncut" one more time!

I'm not really a TV person either, but I watch Futurama, South Park and the occasional animé where everyone hates each other's guts, nobody's ditzy and the women wear decent clothing. No wait...

*lol*

'Taxi'....Can't say much about it, 'cause I've only ever seen one episode.  Animaniacs rocked, though! :D  [starts quoting Slappy Squirrel's "Who's On Stage" bit to herself]
