Oh, I hadn't thought about that really.

I suppose after I conquer the world, I'd eventually grow tired of it and reduce it to pebbles in space with a wave of my hand.  If I'm in the mood I might try something flashy.

Some say the world will end in fire,
Some say in ice.
From what I've tasted of desire
I hold with those who favour fire.
But if it had to perish twice,
I think I know enough of hate
To know that for destruction ice
Is also great
And would suffice.

OK, I didn't write that. Robert Frost did. But you've got to admit, it's a good poem.

Personally, barring an extremely stupid use of multiple H-bombs, I don't think anything can stop this planet until the sun goes into its red giant stage, which should give us another few billion years. I guess that means "fire". Then again, maybe the heat will simply scorch its surface, not actually destroy it.

I don't know. Hmm...

Wanna place bets?

From what I read, the sun will increase in size - so after making barbecue out of all of us, it will swallow the whole planet completely. So those who say we all turn into dust in the end are wrong. :)

But for some reason, I believe the human race will perish before the Earth evaporates.

I think I may be the only optimist here. In spit of all the fighting and stuff that's going on, humanity's trip to the stars is pretty much assured these days, beit an american, chinese, russian or even Brazillian lump of mankind (Brazil is currently at the same stage as the US was in the 1950s vis á vis the space race) that makes it to the final frontier. Once we're out there it'll take a lot more than a single star going nova to kill us off.

Along the way the earth and is population will inevitably be reduced to a pre-technological society. It's how these things work. Every society eventually wanes and falls apart but, as long as there's a foothold in space, humans could potantially live until the end of the universe itself.
Our choicest plans have fallen through, our airiest castles tumbled over, because of lines we neatly drew and later neatly stumbled over.

The world will never cease to exist, Well..... not until it get consumed by the sun millions of years from now, but if we want to be negative  ;D I think the world will end when we die - meaning that it will have lots of endings, Lets just hope is not the end of the word for any of us any time soon. ;)

Here we go... Its what AS Physics is for....

In about 3 million years, the sun will burn up all it hydrogen fuel at the core, turn into a red giant, consume mercury, venus and earth, eventualy shrinking to a white dwarf, to be recycled at a "Star Nusery", creating new stars by the dust of the old.

Before all that... I'm certain the british space agency will save everyone!!! So what, we blunderd sending a robot to Mars... Ok, fine, NASA should realise this danger, and build a space city.

By that time my corpes will be well rotted and eaten by worms, so, none of this concerns me. I'm forced to learn it.

As for us mere humans extintion, I dont know whether we'll nuke each other first. I think we'll have a bigger better weapon than that awsome H-bomb to do that.

Sweet dreams! :)

Nonsense. Everyone knows the world will come to an end on February 14, 2016.

Ah, Exit Mundi. Did anyone see that "Oil Peak" article? Try to be happy and/or optimistic after reading it.
