Things get smaller shock

A memory card company called Pretec have developed a flash memory card smaller than a USB plug. This quote at the end of the article fascinates me:

The ultimate in nerdish fashion-wear? I suppose next it'll be USB tongue studs. ;D

It's small enough that I could probably get away with wearing it as jewelry.  And I would wear it, definetley.  Instead of tearing my bookbag apart to see if I'm missing my USB key, I could just look into a mirror.

Crucially, the iDisk Diamond has a tiny loop on which to attach a wrist or neck lanyard - or, even, Solid Alliance suggests, an earring hook. Heaven knows, it's going to be hard not to lose the things otherwise...
Clearly, no one involved in the making of this has ever lost an earring. Those things are fairly easy to lose and a bitch to find. My mother loses hers a lot.

I reckon they'll be able to fit them with a whistle locator. Speakers are small enough, and it would be easy to make it a feature-part. :)
