It wasn't my fault this time!
Well, another laptop has bit the dust at my house, but this time, it wasn't my fault.
My dad's computer got a nasty virus over the weekend and he got really mad at it and smashed it. Yup. So now I am (again) without a home computer. Thankfully, there are some places around here where I can still come in and chat on the weekends, but it was nice to be able to do it from home. If only for a while.

Yeah, I'm still shocked that your dad did that. But it's definitely good that there are places around you where you can still go for chat and stuff.

Tough break. These things happen, although I think they must have been happening a lot to you. Don't worry, sooner or later you'll get a computer which doesn't have a tendancy to break.
Before continuing, it may be in your best interest, dear reader, to stop and ponder this. Picture it in your mind's eye. An evil one-eyed midget named Cheatum swam across the Gulf of Mexico wearing a shark fin on his back and then planted a bomb on a boat. Think about that. Let that sink in. Now. Wouldn't you want to buy a wrestling show after seeing this?

That truly sucks, Terry, and your dad should reimburse you for your losses. Good thing you won't be completely cut off from us, though.

He smashed it up? Wow. That's crazy.

This sort of reminds me of the way I'm dealing with my own virus-infested computer. You just ignore it for way too long until it picks up more and more bad stuff via viruses, adware, ad nauseum until it becomes too dangerous to handle. It's to the point where I'm willing to emulate your dad, except I'd be more likely to just shoot it. It's like someone was remaking "Old Yeller" for the new millennium, in which a young man is forced to take a gun to his computer, trembling as he agonizes over putting down his best non-human friend before pulling the trigger.
Anyway, hope your computer situation improves, Terry. Hoping to see you back around as bad as I'm hoping to get mine fixed.

I'd most likely roar in anger and slam my finger on the "ENTER" key after typing "FORMAT C:" on the DOS window.Shirt-Guy Tone wrote: This sort of reminds me of the way I'm dealing with my own virus-infested computer. Nonetheless, it's an awful thing to happen. Hope you fix your problem soon, Terry.

Sometimes I feel like dressing up my Gaia avatar.
Feels kinda pointless since I don't actually do stuff at Gaia, so I'm putting it here.

The same thing happened to me, I got a virus, rebooted, then the laptop fell off my back and hit the floor. Cracked it pretty bad.
