I heard that an average of 7,000 people each year are seriously injured by wooden toothpicks. And an average of 10,000 are seriously injured/killed by incidents involving the game of ping-pong.

Apparently, theres a few thousand people die every year by vending machines. Cant remember the exact figure but, makes you think.

There was a fantastic universal sense that whatever we were doing was right, that we were winning....
And that, I think, was the handle - that sense of inevitable victory over the forces of Old and Evil. Not in any mean or military sense; we didn't need that. Our energy would simply prevail.
