Insert witty well-wishes here

Post by c_nordlander » Tue Oct 27, 2009 9:41 am

It's Alex's birthday!

Hope you have an awesome day, Alex!
I said: Hey, you! Feed the machine!
Bring them all back down to their knees!
There's no time to waste, remind the slaves
They ain't gonna make it out alive today.
I said: Hey, you! Poison the well!
Watch it all burn, take them straight to hell!
He's got the whole world in his hands
It was nice to know ya
We've all been damned!
C'mon!

Happy birthday Alex!
There was a fantastic universal sense that whatever we were doing was right, that we were winning....
And that, I think, was the handle - that sense of inevitable victory over the forces of Old and Evil. Not in any mean or military sense; we didn't need that. Our energy would simply prevail. There was no point in fighting - on our side or theirs. We had all the momentum; we were riding the crest of a high and beautiful wave....
So now, less than five years later, you can go up on a steep hill in Las Vegas and look West, and with the right kind of eyes you can almost see the high-water mark - that place where the wave finally broke and rolled back.

Sorry for the lateness. I couldn't think of anything witty, so imagine I said something witty. But I wish you the very best, either way. :)

Thanks everyone!  Wasn't anything major, but I did get a few freebies from my lunch bar, and I finished the day with a pizza and movie. :)

Feels kinda pointless since I don't actually do stuff at Gaia, so I'm putting it here.
