Hermes frowned at the papers spread out before him. The triplicate forms always came out perfectly, but this one... ht thoughtfully scratched at the back of one sheet, then reached under his desk to the Special Drawer.

"Nothing beats a good old seven seven five three seven two dash six four dash eleven B for filling," he sighed quietly, dropping a four inch thick stack of paper. The desk shook as he laid it down, rattling pens.  Hermes lifted the gilded cover sheet and set it aside as he read the title page. "Form for reporting clerical errors brought about as a result of defective nanocarbon paper backing, along with request for restoration of backing. No I do not wish to perform the cursory form exercise," he muttered to himself as he ticked a box on the front sheet.

Hermes signed the first page, then rolled up his sleeve and pressed his elbow against the specially marked box until the paper let out a quiet bleep. The form seemed to sigh contentedly as Hermes unclasped the normally sealed first section and opened it to reveal page after page of entirely superfluous but absolutely required information to be entered. He cracked his fingers and lifted up the pen, ready to begin.

1) Watch Hermes laboriously fill in every page of the form.
2) Watch the volleyball match for a while.
3) Watch the Professor as he invents something
4) Watch Zoidberg enjoying the hospitality of the sewer mutants
5) Watch Scruffy watching you watch him watch everyone.

Please break the tie, since I want to write the next part.  It will probably be pretty short though.

If nobody breaks the tie, just write whichever one you prefer.

Okay then, #3 'wins'. ;D  It's quite short, the choices below are longer than the actual story section, but I thought it was fun making this stuff up.

"I've done it!  Eureka!"

Combining the technology behind what created the Para-Box, the What-If-Machine, and various other doodads and fluids, Professor Hubert Farnsworth was responsible yet again for creating something that in all likelihood should have been utterly impossible!

"I shall call it..."

Just what shall he call it, and what does it doYOU decide!

1 - The What-If Machine Machine, which simulates what it would be like to ask a What-If Machine a question.

2 - The Ben-Gay Booth, of which the name is inspired by what he smelled like at the time.  It combines both technologies of the Para-Box and What-If Machine to allow travel to the alternate universes seen in What-If Scenarios.  It is not bigger on the inside than the outside.

3 - The Intelligizer.  Makes anyone who it is used on a genius for a limited time, which can last between five and sixteen minutes.  The downside is that it also temporarily makes the person much dumber after it wears off, for the same period of time that they were smart.

4 - The Holo-Body Suit.  Anyone who wears it can make themselves look and sound like anyone they choose, if they scan their image into the buffer using a tricorder-like device.  This does not truly change their form, sex or anything else, instead a solid holographic layer is formed around them which also compresses or lengthens their height or body to compensate.  The downsides: The buffer only has room for two different forms (meaning a third would overwrite the first, etc...), and the suit does not work in water.  Small amounts hitting the person will cause the hologram to flicker.

Three seems like the best choice.

Number 2 sounds interesting.
There was a fantastic universal sense that whatever we were doing was right, that we were winning....
And that, I think, was the handle - that sense of inevitable victory over the forces of Old and Evil. Not in any mean or military sense; we didn't need that. Our energy would simply prevail. There was no point in fighting - on our side or theirs. We had all the momentum; we were riding the crest of a high and beautiful wave....
So now, less than five years later, you can go up on a steep hill in Las Vegas and look West, and with the right kind of eyes you can almost see the high-water mark - that place where the wave finally broke and rolled back.
