I was having a hell of a time getting proportions right, so I did some analysing and came up with this. Thought this might be useful for those who are stuggling with proportions or who are just starting to draw the simpsons.

What can I say? Thanks for useful and detailed tutorial!
When I'll switch from drawing Lisa to Homer, I will refer to it. This could not happen soon, though. ;D

wow, perfect.
Congratulations, never seen a tutorial this detailed before.

p.s.:Although so many circles would certainly scare away any beginner... it's never easy.

:o

You've got to be kidding me! Never have I seen so many circles on one page before! God, this is overkill in my mind ;D (I think I'll keep my own hassle free system, thank you...)

wow I'm sorry, first of all you take the long way of how to do it, and then you show them how to draw him completely off model.  Maybe you should try again.

Well, the thread was dead anyway, so I guess it's open for different opinions :)
Morpheus306, my two cents is that such tutorials aren't really important, practice means much more for an artist than a set of instructions. So, if you want to do another tutorial, better draw complete pictures instead, they will be more appreciated here. Especially Lisa pictures! *is dragged away by moderators*

*completely* off model? Not to be rude, but i think this Homer looks better than the one you just posted a tutorial on. And i couldnt really care about which is closer to the original simpsons style. We're fan artists, not paid animators. :)
I agree, this was surely an overkill complicated tutorial. But i guess that unless one is born with it, to get started you have to give yourself a lot of rules. I appreciate he tried his own instead of going with the same old overused "5 eyes tall" tutorials that are around the net. Maybe he can be so sure only with that much rules, who knows. When he'll grow more accostumed to them he will simplify them, as i did and as everyone did i guess. He was just trying to be of help here, and if people is scared of so many circles (i am too :P ) they wont follow it, simple. No reason to bash him down like this.
