The Reference Bucket
Artperson? Seen something that's highly useful but non-Groeningy? Link it here! Tutorials, photos, your own examples, etc.
I'll start by linking some figure-drawing tutorials from the author of The Meek. One of several splendid things about this comic is its lively, variety-friendly art style, and behold there is a list of how to do this sort of thing like in that. It cuts through a lot of crap.
Poses!
Heads!
Expressions!
Hands!
Feet!
Women!
Men!
Go Planet! As before, link away with the useful stuff.

A tiny bit about the sort of shading you get on hair and such.

Our choicest plans have fallen through, our airiest castles tumbled over, because of lines we neatly drew and later neatly stumbled over.

I think this needs to go here.
Facial expression tutorial from the artist of Lackadaisy
Yes, I know she uses anthropomorphic cats, but this stuff is intensely useful if you draw mostly primates, too. Should be required reading for anyone who thinks about doing comics.

Re: The Reference Bucket
Guys guys guys remember when I was going on about Trinny and Susannah's twelve female body shapes? You do, right? It was a lot. Today I went looking for body shape guides and I found that someone had drawn this stuff out for female figures of the same height and usually the same body mass. Go and look at this because it's a great way to draw realistically different thin people. (The same rules do, of course, apply to other sizes, but I'm fed up with only being able to tell thin women apart by tit size).
Link is here and I'm attaching it as well in case the source ever goes away.

Tendon-stretching exercises. For the past few months, I've had very annoying tendon pain in my drawing hand. These stretches are quick, straightforward, and while using them I found the tendon that was giving me the most grief.

If the topic's still "open" then I've got a thing!

Despite the name, it's more like a big library of refs and tutorials nicely categorized. I don't think it'll let you get too far without an account but I think the sheer content might make up for it!
