Season-Concluding Best/Worst Thread!

Post by missy_misery » Fri May 31, 2013 9:40 am

Thoughts!!:

Best Episode: This season was slim pickings, but I really liked The Saga Of Carl, which gave us an entirely unique plot construct, complete with fresh focus on familiar but under-written characters.

Runners-Up: Gone, Abie, Gone, Moonshine River, Love is a Many Splintered Thing, Pulpit Friction

Worst Episode: There were more gutter balls than strikes this season, sadly, but it's easy to separate the half-baked stuff out from the absolute worst, and for me that is Penny-Wiseguys. Build an entire episode around a new character we'll never see again? Why not? It's not even Steve Carell's fault that the episode is so pointless, but pointless it is.

Runners-Up: What Animated Women Want (Good A plot, terrible, sexist B-plot), Hardly Kirking (Bizarre plot, awful and dull execution), Adventures in Baby-Getting (terrible, WTF-inducing plot implications), The Changing of the Guardian (excellent beginning, awful middle)
Now known as Lisabella! (Or Missy.  Missy's good.)

Crack!Fic, The Marge Simpson Way: "Just then, Sir Lancelot rode up on a white horse and saved Joan of Arc.  They got married and lived in a spaceship.  The end." - Tales from the Public Domain, "Hot Child In The City"
