"Diggs:"
Spoiler Really liked this one. Easily one of the best of the season.
Diggs was a very interesting character; Daniel Radcliffe did a great job voicing him (and does a very good American accent doing so). I was very surprised by the turn things take: Diggs is messed-up enough to be sent to a mental hospital, and the situation and Bart's reaction is played completely straight. Even with the way the show has improved the past few years, the quiet seriousness of those scenes was very impressive.
"The Man Who Grew Too Much:"
Spoiler Bob and Lisa! A fresh dynamic for a Bob episode, and a very welcome one. The two intellectuals had a very nice camaraderie going on. The gene-mod reveal was certainly unexpected, but it's nice seeing Bob have a plan besides revenge again.
Marge's subplot was okay. Her awkward squeamishness made for some amusement.
That sudden mood whiplash with the very last scene... Oof. We'll miss you, Edna.

Tossing in my thoughts!:
Diggs:
Spoiler I was kind of impressed that they actually went there with Daniel Radcliffe's character and portrayed his character's schizophrenic tendencies with sensitivity, and Bart's reaction with sensitivity and gentleness. I have to give them credit for conjuring up an original plot as well, and I enjoyed the boys' friendship a lot. A liiitle of that was undercut by the Simpsons actually eating Diggs' trained bird, but eh, a pretty good ep.
The Man Who Grew Too Much:
Spoiler AL JEAN! /Shakes fist. I did not expect them to actually kill off Edna after they insisted they were going to retire her. wow, that was a punch in the gut. And I sense that that ending was rewritten at some point and that Marcia Wallace died before voicing the rest of her part.
Everything else about the ep was good - watching Bob and Lisa become uneasy partners, Bob turning out to generally be a good friend and assistant to her...right up until that ending. Really show? Bob basically has superpowers now?!
