The announcement was made earlier in the spring that FXX has acquired the entire run of the Simpsons for syndication purposes, and they've made two big announcement recently in regard to their acquisition during the upfronts.
The first is that they're apparently going to be running the entire series in order from the first episode to the season finale of this season over Labor Day Week. Episodes are rumored to be in their original broadcast condition, versus syndicated cuts.
The other is that there's supposed to be an app that will be publicised in conjunction with the airing of Simpsons Guy. It will allow the owner to stream any Simpsons episode to any streaming device.
