Season 17 Promo Cards

Post by Stretch_Dude » Wed Aug 17, 2005 3:29 pm

Yep, they're starting already. 'Cause the season starts in September. Aww, yeah. ;D We start with a Labor Day card and the promo for the season premiere, "Bonfire of the Manatees:"

These actually look nice. (Homer in the swan boat and all.) But the marine biologist looks like a guest star.

Pretty little monster
Went to the good school
Left with honours
Brand new tycoon

I agree with Chris' sentiments.

Either that, or the show is just incapable of designing new characters the way they used to...

The first one does look nice. The second one... eh, doesn't do anything for me.

But this means he's gonna have to do a new voice, right?  I mean, if he does his normal Alec Baldwin voice, we're gonna know it's him!

Is Baldwin capable of ranging his voice though? He could surprise us... but I doubt it.

well, I still havn't seen all the 16th seasons but I've given up keeping track of them on sky one as my parents insist that on sundays we should have a proper family meal and stuff which means i can't watch tv,  >:(
The 16th seasons didn't seem that good either :( I havn't watched simpsons on tv for ages (mainly because of adverts)
I used to rely on my friend who used to get the computer to automatically record simpsons whenever it was on (it also skipped out the adverts!)
but then the storms we had this early summer messed it up and we've missed out on lots :(
dam sky one :P always showing simpsons months later

Here's a promo card image for Treehouse of Horror XVI, though it's incredibly small and cropped:

I hope they release a full-size version of that; the art looks pretty neat.

Yeah, of course they will (and probably already have). It's just a matter of it getting from FOX's online publicity outlet to the rest of the Internet. Either Comics Contiuum or sspf.com.ar will probably post them soon.
