I hope it isn't an extended Season 17 episode in terms of quality.  :-\

Are they going to show it on the November 5 airing of the Simpsons? Because it was said that they would show a sneak peek of the trailer or something of that nature....

Can't wait!

I can't wait for the plotline either, I hope its worth paying a couple of bucks for in the movie theater.

For those of who who missed the past THoH (like me), they're running a new trailer for The Simpsons Movie somewhere during the airing of G.I. (Annoyed Grunt) next week.

I would really read very little into this.  They're on such tight lockdown you can't really expect anything truly revealing about the movie, especially this early.

Yeah, same here. It just took the joke and quite literally beat it to death...

Perhaps it's not part of the film. You never know.

I'll say pretty much what other people said. Well animated, and lovely opening. I did like the joke, but [what Graham said].

So far, and working on the assumption that we've seen actual footage from the actual film, I'd say it has the potential for not sucking.

Some animation looked really nice, but...was it just me, or did it look clumsy and jerky in places?  It just didn't look quite right to me here and there.  And I'm used to cel-shaded 3D thanks to 'Futurama', but some of it here didn't seem to work.  I dunno.

Also, anybody else amused at how they went "in 2D!", and then moments later it switched to a scene where a good 80% of things were 3D?

Could be a feint.  Expect anything from the PR department.
