I've never been a fan of his style so I'm not exactly excited... :P That said, being an animator, he'll probably do a decent job. I saw Banksy's "effort" which had its moments I suppose, but largely came off as Banksy being a pretentious twat...
There was a fantastic universal sense that whatever we were doing was right, that we were winning....
And that, I think, was the handle - that sense of inevitable victory over the forces of Old and Evil. Not in any mean or military sense; we didn't need that. Our energy would simply prevail. There was no point in fighting - on our side or theirs. We had all the momentum; we were riding the crest of a high and beautiful wave....
So now, less than five years later, you can go up on a steep hill in Las Vegas and look West, and with the right kind of eyes you can almost see the high-water mark - that place where the wave finally broke and rolled back.

It already aired with "Bart Stops to Smell the Roosevelts," guys.

And it was a great little gag, too:

Still can't work out whether I like it or not. I think maybe I'm just not so much into his style.

I saw him do an outdoor exhibition in Germnany last year (more by luck that judgement as it was just round the corner from my B&B in Berlin) and although I knew he is obviously a great in his field, I just couldn't get on board with it.

The Banksy one was terrible in my opinion too. Hmm, all seems a bit unnecessary to me.

You know, if it had said "John Kricfalusi" in the topic I would have known who you were talking about.

I thought it was funny, but it went on for too long. Couch gags only have a limited amount of time before they kill the pacing stone dead.

I guess it's kind of suitable since I don't know if 90s bad-taste cartoons would ever have had the market if not for The Simpsons opening the way...
