Writing Competition Winners

Post by archonix » Tue Jul 26, 2005 9:28 pm

Greetings!

The votes are in and the counts complete. I love computers...

The winner is Christina Nordlander (Dawson? Who knows?) with her storty: "White Cat, Black Cat";
Second comes Hellfish, with "Slideshows";
And third is shared by Dead Composer and Oarriaga.

This, however, presents a little problem. The first prize for this competition was to be a signed copy of My LIfe as a Ten Year Old Boy but it would seem that Chris already has a copy of this. While I try to solve the problem I'll work on the little ribbon doodads for the winners of both competitions.

Prizes wil be sent out whenever I can afford it, which is... soon. Ish.

Apparently I'm the only one who voted for my story.

What was wrong with it?  Was it too long?  Did it refer to episodes that everybody hates?

Whine whine whine...

*takes a bow* And congratulations Markus, Dead Composer and Omar. Wooo, a creative quill!

Actually, I'm surprised that "Night of the Living Maude" didn't get more votes, since I found it a very good story (but not as good as the one I voted for). Maybe it was the length... hey, I don't have to justify myself, I have a little quill symbol after my name. *is happy*

Don't you mean 'losers'? And by God, how many times must I vote for someone to have them win? ...

And by that I mean, congratulations to the winner, Immature, and the other faceless competitors. You all deserve a pat on the back and a 'we'll do better next year' speech.

Gee.  I can't decide if you're being rudely sarcastic, or just a complete idiot.

Anyway, congrats to everyone!  I wish I could say I voted, but I thought I had more time than there was.  Ah well...

A lil' of both. I forgot to double-check what my MS Word Spellcheck was correcting. But demote me anyway!

Hm.  Fair enough.  I guess it could've been a spellcheck error.

And I don't demote.

*gasp* How the guy with the nice pencil icon under the nickname can be so jealous?
Also, if you wanna see loser's story, go read mine.

Heh. The pencil. At first I thought it was some horrible programming error or a gash on my compy screen. ;D

And I already read the 'Wings' story. *off topic* It was very good, despite the translation glitches. Heck, it beat the sh*t outta' mine. :P

Why is anyone bothering to congratulate me?  My story obviously failed to make an impression, since nobody voted for it.  What do I have to change about my writing to fare better in the next contest?
