Lisa by Night
Lisa by Night
This is by Graham, not me. I'm just posting it because it touches me more than anything else here, and because it deserves to be readed. Remember the two "Lisa by Night" pics?
It's been a year since i did those, trying to figure out what i tried to tell with them, trying to come up with a reason, something that showed how i really felt about them... a story, a scene. I couldn't, and sometimes, i hated me for this.
But in the end...this is what all should've been about:

To me, it's just perfect. Thanks Graham.

IDIOT: I didn't like it. (gets booed to death)
Great. Really great, indeed. Introspective... Great piece, Graham. I don't know exactly why, but it's special, in its own way.

Well you should really be praising Marco for the picture that inspired it more than anything else, because I wouldn't have written it without that.

Oh... it's just... I don't... I can't...
Thank you, Graham, for writing this. And thank you, Marco, for inspiring him. Now the beautiful picture has a beautiful story to go with it. I am... captivated...

That was a very nice piece to go along with such a breathtaking picture, Graham. I have always wondered what kinds of stories people get in their heads from looking at that pic.

Re: Lisa by Night
Wow! You scared me, Marco! I thought you'd written a story.
I have to agree. Lisa by Night is a well read traditional story. Something many people at SFWC have associated with and reconstructed often and succeeded in creating great dramatic stories. It was one of the first dark slanted imaginary aspects of the Simpsons life. And one of the best.

Wonderful! That's all I can really say about it. You've done a great job of articulating the mood and feeling of the original pic, Graham. A worthy companion to one of Marco's best efforts.

Well, since it was saved on the computer, it would have been a bit silly to actually burn it... let's just say it's somewhere far from human eyes now.

Nice read.
Deep..sad...scary...heartbreaking...yearning...hopeful
It was all in the eyes, wasn't it?
A beautifully drawn picture and a well thought out story.
I'm new to this site, and I feel like Homer in the land of chocolate...thanks to posts like this.

Re: Lisa by Night
Okay, I'm really sorry for stealing Graham's thunder here a little, but since his version is vastly superior to mine, I suppose it's not so bad. I dug this up last night, and in case you think all the good reviews for LF went to my head, reading through this nonsense quickly cut me down to size. Please, forgive me.
